Just Because...

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is "Do Over" day on the MCT blog. I made this card a couple weeks ago and while I was making it, I thought I would like to try using the Build A Pretty Flower Stamp Set.
I have always loved this set and I'm still hoping for dies. Hint.. Hint..Emma! I used the same ink colors, but I did change up the design a bit.  I really like how it turned out.

I combined both sets to create today's card. I'm so excited to have a larger circle die set that has stitching. The new Build a Sunray set is going to be lots of fun to use/make cards with.

Today is the third day of sneaks for this months My Creative Time April releases. Today we are featuring this months freebie, it's a new stamp and die set called "Inspire". My Creative Time April Release - Day 2

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today is the second day of sneaks for this months My Creative Time April releases. Today we are featuring and a new stamp and die set called "You are My Sunshine".

This new set is so sweet! I have so many ideas for it. The base layer of my card was made with the largest MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies. I watercolored it with Peerless watercolors. The clouds were made with the cloud dies from the More Stitched Edges set. I stamped the top layer with one of the new sentiments and then attached them both with some foam tape to give them a bit of dimension. I used the sun die from the new set and I also added a center circle, to add another layer. It was cut with a circle die from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies and stamped with the polka dot stamp from the old Coffee Break set. Lastly, I added a scattering of sequins.

My Creative Time April Release - Day 1

Happy Monday!!!

Today is the first day of sneaks for this months My Creative Time April releases. We are featuring a new stamp and die set called "Mom" today.

 My first card, I started with a circle of watercolor paper. I stamped the floral stamp twice and embossed it with white powder. Once I figured out where I wanted my sentiment I stamped and embossed it. Then I used my TH distress ink and blender and added color to the paper. Once I was happy with it, I then attached it to the base of the card. Last, I added the word "mother" and sequins. The circle and wavy circle are both from Bunch of Fun Circle Dies.

This card was my test card, but I like it enough to share it. The only difference is that I used clear embossing powder on my flowers instead of white, like the first card. The sentiment was an after thought, after I added the color, and so I had to use white embossing powder so that you would be able to see it. The watercolor paper is not quite as white as the white base paper and white embossing, so there is a subtle difference in color but I still think it's pretty. The oval and scalloped oval were cut from the Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies.

Today is Thoughtful Thursday over on the My Creative Time blog. I made a quick card for a friend with the new Fun Notes stamp and die set. I made the background with some Peerless watercolors and then used the largest rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More. The sentiment was stamped with some Versafine Onyx Black ink and added some clear sequins.

No Peeking!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today is Tag it Tuesday over on the My Creative Time blog. I made some Christmas tags... it's never to early to start, right? 

I cut my tags out of watercolor paper and stamped my fox with Versafine ink. Then I took the fox die, cut it out of wax paper, and ironed it onto the tag over my fox stamp. Once I had the wax paper securely on the tags, I water colored the backgrounds with my Peerless watercolors. Once the watercolor was dry I pulled up the wax paper mask and colored in the fox with my Zig markers. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the All Around Christmas Stamp Set, glued on the shadow base tag, and attached the ribbon and twine.

Trending Now

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is Trending Now day on the MCT blog. The "trend" that we are watching today is the "Bloom & Plume" trend, so floral's and/or feathers. We have three or four stamp/die sets that work perfectly with this theme. I used two of them to create my card.

 I stamped some watercolor paper with the floral stamp from the My Thoughts Are With You Stamp Set. Then I used some distress inks to watercolor the background. I made this for a friend who loves blue so I chose to use blue & green inks. Once it was finished, I used the largest rectangle from the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies to cut it out. The sentiment is from the Just Because stamp and die set. I embossed it on one of the smaller Ribbon End Banner Dies.
