Somebunny Special and a Freebie

Since last week was new release week for My Creative Time, I didn't get a chance to have a freebie svg file. I decided that it would be fun to have two freebies this week. 

Today's freebie is a HK bunny file and my friend Cathy is guest designing today as well.

 

I think her card darling!!! 
I love how she created a scene and that she added the stickels to her bow and the eggs.

I made a shaped card.

The base measures 4" in diameter. The purple inset is 4.25" and the green piece is 4".  I cut my bunny (kitty) at 3.5" tall.

3-d Wednesday with My Creative Time

Happy Wednesday!

Today is 3-d Wednesday over at My Creative Time. It is also my SIL, Cynthia's, birthday! I thought that it would be fun to incorporate a few of her favorite things into today's project, since it's her birthday.

I bought her a Starbucks gift card, but you know me... I couldn't just hand her a card with the gift card inside.

 

So I dressed it up a bit. I placed it inside a coffee cup and decorated the outside of the cup with a festive cup wrap. The cup wrap can be removed and placed on the morning coffee that she purchases with her gift card. So fun right!?! So who's making me one for my birthday? Cause I want one too! :)

I love...love the ease of using My Creative Time dies.

Sweet Wishes

I have a quick shaped card for you today.

Shaped cards are relatively easy to make. You piece your shape together on your mat, be it Silhouette Studio, SCAL, or MTC. Size it to the size you want and then create a shadow layer around it, I prefer .1425". Then weld two of the shadow shapes together to create the base of the card, at this point you can re-size everything of you need, to get it to the right size.

I have another fun HK freebie for you today and my friend Trixie is a guest designer, today, as well. 


Isn't her card darling!?! 

I love the shape of the card, the crocheted flower, and the sweet pearl buttons.

I made a shaped card too.


My card measures 4.2" x 5.25". The card base is two shadow layers welded together, this was done on my Gypsy. The polka dot inset piece measures 3.8"x 4.9" and the plaid piece measures 3.2" x 4.3". I cut my kitty at 3.75".

I love this die and sentiment set from My Creative Time.

My Creative Time February New Release Blog Hop!

My project today is an altered note pad.

I found this cute note pad at Target in the $1 spot. I grabbed a few, thinking if I altered them, they would might make great gifts.

I took some kraft card stock and made a cover, attached the note pad with score tape, and then decorated the front cover. I love how they turned out! I am hoping that the recipients will love them too!

This was made with the new Treat Slider Box die.  Fun right!?! This new die set includes the box that holds 4 nuggets, a top that slides to cover them (not pictured), and two nugget wrappers (the scalloped one is not pictured).

Happy Monday!

Today is the first day of sneaks for My Creative Time! This release is going to knock your socks off! I cannot wait to share all of my projects with you!

Today's project is a birthday card.

The card measures 3" x 8.5". I took my cupcakes, created the design I wanted, and sized it to 8" tall. Then I created a .1600 shadow around it, I took two of these shadow layers and welded them together. That made the base of my card. The video below, shows how I put the card together in Make-the-Cut.

The sentiment is from the new release set called More of My Favorite Sayings.

Happy Friday!

I am so glad it's Friday! I have the next 10 days off and I am so excited. I have a few fun things planned and I long list of "not so fun" things too, but I am still thankful for the nice break. Hopefully, I can get caught up on some much needed sleep too.

True Love - Designer's Challenge

Happy Thursday!

Today is the start of a new Designer's Challenge on the My Creative Time blog. The challenge is to use embossing, heat or dry...or both! I'm really bad about using my embossing folders, so I broke them out. 

I really love this heart embossing folder, truthfully, I think it's the first time I have ever used it. I think I am going to leave my folders next to my cuttlebug, hopefully, that will help remind me to use them more.

The card measure's 4.5"x 4.5". The insets are 4.25"square and 4" square. The bear was sized to 3" tall.
