Frightening!

Happy Thursday!!!
IMG_0250-1
Today is "Thrifty Thursday" over on the My Creative Time blog. I had several pieces of white scrap card stock sitting on my desk and I thought... wonder if I can I make a card with just that and some stamps and a die or two? I was able to find a small piece of vellum, in my scrap box, so I used that to back the ghost shape. I stamped the face with a peachy and then stamped the sentiment. I went back and forth on wether to add color to the ghost's face, but I think I like it colorless.

Magic Poop

Happy Wednesday!!!
Poop Magic
Today is Inspiration Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. I found this super cute pillow on Pinterest a couple months ago. When Emma came out the the Alpha Pack Stamp SetI knew that I wanted to use it for "inspiration". I cut the unicorn at 3.5" tall. I used Wink of Stella on her mane, tail, and horn. They are really sparkly but it doesn't show up in the photos very well.

Spooky Starry Night!

Happy Tuesday!!!
Starry Night
Today is "Try me Tuesday" over on the My Creative Time blog. Our "try me" this week is to create a card using a "Faux Embossing" technique. It's actually a stamping technique, that you can see here. I used the background stamp from the Spooky Starry Night Stamp SetI love this technique, it really does look like the paper is embossed.

I created the sentiment window with a die that is being released at the end of the month. I can't wait to show you more!

Believe in Yourself

Happy Tuesday!!!

Hey twiney friends! Today is my day over on the Timeless Twine blog. So.... with all the kiddo's going back to school, I'm in "school" mode. For today's project I made a book mark. I cut 6 - 26" length pieces of twine, two of each color.  Then I strung them through, folded them together, in half, and knotted them. Then I did a fishtail braid. I braided the twine until it was the same length as the bookmark and then knotted it and snipped the ends off, so that they were straight.

Below are the twine colors we were challenged to work with this month. I used three of the five.
You could also make these for your Filofax/planer. Just punch holes in the left side of the bookmark/tag and add it to your planner.

I used Wink of Stella in the lens with some Dimensional Magic, I love how it looks like a real lens. I hadn't yet played with the new dot die that comes in the Tag Die LayersI love the look of it.

Birthday Wishes!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hiya! Today is Inspiration Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. I found this card a couple years ago on Flickr and marked it as a favorite. I've been wanting to make my own version and I finally got the around to it. I made my card a birthday card, like the inspiration card, but I was thinking that it would be a fun "thinking of you" card as well. Next time I will probably stamp the sentiment on the inside.
IMG_0204-1
I used a darning needle/piercer and punched a hole through the front of the card, on either side of the crayons. Then I threaded the darning needle with twine and pulled the it through each hole and tied it around the crayons. I found that the crayons were still a bit wobbly, especially the more it is handled, so I secured each crayon with a small glue dot on the back.

MCT 35th Release Blog Hop!

Happy Friday!!!

Today is My Creative Time's 35th Release blog hop! What a fun week this has been, full of new products and lots of inspiration! I know I had a lot of fun viewing the sneaks each day. If you have arrived from Terri Beri's blog, then you are on the right track or if you would like to start at the beginning, click here.
Tree-mendous
Today card is a simple one. I used the paint splotch stamps from the Family is Everything set, to make a Christmas tree. I used three different green ink pads, alternating them to make it look more realistic. I also used some smaller stamps, from a couple different sets, in red and grey ink to make it look like a decorated tree. I added a bit of silver Wink of Stella to the grey dots, so the card really shimmers. It's hard to see in the photos though. I stamped the sentiment a little ways below the tree to act as a base and balance the card. Lastly, I added the small star at the top, to finish it off.

This card also has a "pre" sneak on it... it will be released next month!

Happy Thursday!

WooHoo! It's the 4th day of sneaks for this months MCT new release's! Today we are sneaking the new "Tag Die Layers" dies.
Believe
I was so excited to see that Emma had an inset tag die made, to coordinate with the original tag die. So now we can create a "shadow" layer. I altered both tags a bit, I cut off the hole at the top of each tag. I'd been wanting to use the Dream Bigger Stamp for awhile now and it just happens to fit perfectly on the tag. I also used the paint splotches from the new Family is Everything set. I think that might be my new favorite set!
