Personal Bridal Shower Cards

I made these two cards for friends who are getting married this summer. I have been invited to both of their personal bridal showers and I wanted to make them a fun card that would match the color's in their wedding. I used the Forever Young Cricut Cart. For more info on how the cards were made, please watch the video tutorial below.

Thanks so much for watching and have a wonderful day!

Finish it Friday - 1st Project - "You are Special" Mini Album

I joined the group "Finish it Friday" on Your Paper Pantry website. The goal of the group is to finish those projects that you started and never finished. This is my 1st project.

I started this mini album for my niece 4+ years ago. I never finished it and she turned 19 in December. :) The album was about 1/2 way completed. You can see the 1st video here.

I completed the album today. Yeah! :)  Below are the pictures of the completed album. You can see the video of completed album here.

On to Project #2!

Altered Frames

I have been making these frames for several years now. They are a quick and easy gift that can be easily tailored to the recipients taste.

Below are a few that I made for Valentine's gifts.

I purchased the wood frames at Michael's for $1 and all of the papers and embellishments are from the K and Company, Ka-Zoo line.

You can see my video tutorial  here

I also have a few Ka-Zoo mini kits left for purchase in my Etsy shop.

Photo Booth Album

I made several of these photo booth albums for Christmas presents and they were a huge hit. I decided to make a couple for gifts for Valentine's Day.  You can view the tutorial  here.

This is what you are going to need:

1. 5 or 6 sheets of patterned paper, either single or double sided is fine. These need to be cut to 5" x 8 1/2". They will be scored at 2 1/2".

2. 1 piece of heavier weight card stock for the front and back cover, these will need to be cut at 2 5/8" x 8 3/4". You will also need a contrasting piece for the spine, this will need to be cut at
1 3/4" x 8 3/4".  The spine will be scored at 3/4" and 1".

3. Glue, red tacky tape, or a ATG gun

4. Bone folder

5. Decorative edge punch or decorative scissors.

6. Embellishments for the cover.

Here is a close-up of the front cover embellishment  and the spine.

When I give these as gifts I also include a small tin full of photo corners, brads, stickers, die cuts, bling, ribbon, or anything that can be used to decorate the album.

If you try making one, I would love to see it. :)

Butterfly Tri-Fold Album - Happy Birthday Lindsey!

I saw a tutorial for this album on YouTube and I just had to make one. It was really quick and simple, totally my style. :) I found this paper at Michaels and fell in love. It is a K & Company pack, the name is Cut N Paste. So I decided to make my niece an album for her Birthday. Happy Birthday Lindsey!

I decided to use the pictures from her high school graduation. I know that the paper is not very "graduationy" but, the paper fits her personality perfectly.  Did I mention it was Lindsey's birthday today? Anyway, I wanted to give all the photos the same feel as the paper, "vinatgey" and distressed, so I sanded around the edges and used my vintage photo ink pad to add a distressed look to each photo.

I LOVE how this mini came out! I like it so much that I almost kept it for myself. I wanted to keep it really bad, but I didn't because it is her birthday. Did I tell you that yet????? :)

This is the front cover. I added a little glossy accents to the smallest butterfly to give it a little dimension.

These are the first two pages ~ There is room on the back of the tags for journaling.

These are pages 3 and 4.
Again, the tags have room on the back for journaling.
This is the back cover of the album. I added glossy accents to the smallest butterfly to make her pop.
Oh! but wait, the album keeps going...... There are two more pages! I added a huge pink Prima flower with a little bling in the center and of course two more tags with room for journaling.

Close-up of the tags.... you can never have enough tags!  Just like shoes! Lindsey would agree with me on that one. Hey, have I mentioned yet that today is her birthday?
Here is a view of what it looks like standing up.
I had to add this one in too because I made those two small flowers and I am so proud of them! I used my scallop flower punch, burnished them (to make them soft), inked the edges, added a little bling in the center and can you say, Holy Cute!

I LOVE YOU LINDSEY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
