My Creative Time's November Stamp Release - Day 3 Sneak Peaks!

Happy Wednesday!

Today is day 3 of sneaks for My Creative Time's November stamp release. The next two set are really special! Why are they so special, you ask? Well... Emma's very own brother, Mark Villar designed the images for one of the sets that we are showcasing today, it is called "Keepin' it Classy". The other set being showcased, coordinates with it perfectly,  it is called "Classy and Fabulous!"

I made two gift card holders.
The paper is Core-Dinations and the ribbon was found at Michael's.
The sentiment is from the "Classy and Fabulous!" set.
The purses are from the "Keepin it Classy" set.

Gift card #2!
Do you have the Embossed Gift Card Holder die yet? It's so simple and fast that you almost feel guilty that it didn't take you longer to make it. The paper is from PaperTrey Ink and the ribbon is from Michael's.
The sentiment is from "Classy & Fabulous" and the coffee cups are from "Keepin it Classy".

Peachy Keen Stamps Kut Outs & Stamp Tutorial

Happy Monday!

I am working on a few cards, I will have them up in the next day or so!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Creative Time's November Stamp Release - Day 1 Sneak Peaks!

Happy Monday!

Today is the first day of the November sneak peaks for My Creative Time. You are not going to believe what Emma has come up with this time! This is going to be a fun release!
My sneak today was made with the "Touchdown" set and the "Sports Sentiments" set.
My best friend has been talking about making ribbon corsages, for all the football mom's on her sons team. Of course, somehow, I got elected to make them. When I saw the "Touchdown" set I knew that it would work perfectly for what we wanted to do!
I looked in my ribbon box and pulled out colors that matched their team colors and got to work! It's mostly put together with hot glue. :) I placed a lapel pin on the back so that it can be worn on a jacket or shirt, but can be easily removed, if need be.

I also thought it would look nice to place the corsage's on a card, just to give it a more finished look. I did a simple white stitch around the edge and then stamped a simple "Thank you" in the upper right hand corner.
For the center of the corsage, I used the Scallop & Stitched Circle die's and the new "Touchdown" stamp set. I also used the "Follow Your Dreams" stamp set to stamp the players numbers, I liked the chunkiness of the numbers, in the center of the circle stamp. I also used diamond glaze on the top of the stamped circle to make it more durable.
The "Thank You" stamp is from the Sports Sentiment stamp set.
I hope the football moms like them!

Quick Quotes Project #4

Happy Sunday!

Today is my project #4 as a guest designer for Quick Quotes.

I made a tote bag gift bag. This little bag is the perfect size for a gift card for a manicure and a small bottle of lotion. I used the Cherry Truffle paper line, it was perfect for the look I wanted. I also inked all the edges with the Midnight Confessions Powder Puff Chalk Ink.
I found the tutorial to make the tote bag here. I converted the pdf pattern in Make-the-Cut so that I could use my Ecraft to cut all the pieces out. The silver bards were purchased at Michael’s.
I used My Creative Time’s Scallop and Stitched Circle dies and the All Around Birthday stamps. I bought the 6” black tulle at my local floral supply store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
If you have time, head on over to the Quick Quotes store and take a peak at all their wonderful products! They also have a blog!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Throwback Thursday Challenge w/My Creative Time!

Happy Thursday!

Today starts an all new Throwback Thursday Challenge on Emma's blog!

This weeks challenge is to use a "kid friendly" cartridge, or svg in my case, to create a card, layout, or treat bag for a child!

I made a Birthday card!
I LOVE the Cat in the Hat! I just couldn't resist this Cat and Friends svg set from Treasure Box Designs, when I saw it!
I made a free standing pop-up card. A written tutorial showing how to make the card is here and I also made a video, showing how to make it, you can view it here.
I used papers from Heidi Grace, DCWV, and Paper Trey Ink.

Don't you love this little fish!?! His smile is from Peachy Keen Stamps set, PK-486 In Stitches Face Assortment.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time's set called Polka Dot "SURPRISE".
We are one week from My Creative Time's November happening next Friday, Nov. 18th! So, you know what that means.... right? That means if you participate in this challenge, you will have the "golden opportunity" to qualify to win the ENTIRE release! This is probably the BEST release to date! The deadline for this challenge will be on Wed, Nov. 16th! So you only have one week to complete your projects in order to qualify!
Good Luck!

So... make sure that you play along with us! You can see more inspiration on Emma's blog.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

3-d Wednesday and SVG Attic!

Happy Wednesday!

3-d Wednesday is something new that Emma at My Creative Time is hosting. Each Wednesday We will be designing 3-d projects, showcasing Emma's amazing stamps and dies!   Today just happens to be my design team day for SVG Attic.com too, so I decided to combine the project's.

Lucky for me, Jessica, has designed some amazing 3-d svg files!
This little sleigh is from the Holiday Cheer Gift Boxes. The neat thing about this little sleigh, is that there is a small gift box underneath! So you can fill the sleigh with something and then slip a little something into the box underneath too!
I used kraft card stock for the base and K and Company Christmas paper to decorate the outside.
I added a small tag to the top to the flap of the box so that you can see that it opens.
This is what it looks like closed.
The sentiment was made with My Creative Time's Curly Label die, the Inspiring Words (accents), and the Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

If you would like to see the other 'Wednesday Treats' projects, click here!

Tomorrow starts an all new Throwback Thursday Challenge! I can't wait to show you what I made.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Quick Quotes Project #3

Happy Tuesday!

Today's project is my third project for my guest designer month, with Quick Quotes. I am going to show you how to make a fun and in-expensive “date night” or “movie night” project.

It would even make a great gift for a birthday or just because.
First you are going to need 2-12 x 12 sheets of paper. I used the Savvy Davvy paper and the Limeade Powder Puff chalk ink on my project.
Cut 2 pieces that measure 8” x 5 ½”. These are going to be the front and back.
Then cut 2 more pieces that measure 6 ¼” x 4 ¾”. These are going to be your pockets.
Second, you are going to score the bottom, of both of the side pieces, at 5/8”. This is going to create the bottom of the holder.
Then place adhesive on the front side of one and the back side of the other.
…and stick them together. When you have done that, it should look like this…
Third, you are going to take the two pocket pieces and score them on three sides, both sides and along the bottom, at ½” and 1”. They should look like this:
Then you are going to cut each corner to look like this:
All four corners should look like that when your finished. (See below)
Then fold all your score lines and you should have something like this.
Here they are with the corners glued together.
At this point you will apply adhesive to the ½” lip on the back and attach it to the other piece. Like so:

Make sure that you center the pocket on the front and line it up along the bottom fold.
This is what it will look like once you get both pockets on the base.
Almost finished!  We’re going to add the tie’s now!
You will need 2 pieces of 10” long ribbon and 2 pieces of paper that measure 1 ¼” x 1 ¼”.
Glue down the ribbon and then place the small piece of paper over it for a more finished look. A heavy duty adhesive will work best.

Lastly, all you have to do is decorate the front pockets.
Then grab a movie, some microwave popcorn, and a couple snack size bags of your favorite candy!

This makes a great gift, movie night, or date night surprise. This would also be a really fun thing to leave for the kids to find, on a date night, when they are home with the sitter!

If you have time, head on over to the Quick Quotes store and take a peak at all their wonderful products! They also have a blog!

I hope you have a wonderful day!
