Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Today is Inspire Me day on the MCT blog. My card for today is inspired by this card by Kristina Werner. Last week Z and I were watching YouTube videos and he saw her "Smiley" card and wanted to watch the video, so we did. He has a thing for "Smilies". So I thought I would try and make him a smiley card with MCT products, for his first day of school.
To get the circles, I used the smallest circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, cut it out of fun foam, and created my own stamp. Then I used one of the face stamps from the You Make Life Sweet Stamp & Die SetThe sentiment is from the Write On Stamp SetI masked it off with post-it tape, so that I could use the two different color inks. Similar to what Kristina did in her video. I used the largest oval from the Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies to get the shape on the bottom.

Paper: Papertrey Ink (White & Black), Echo Park (Sweet Summertime)
Ink: Lawn Fawn (Freshly Cut Grass & Sunflower), Versafine (Onyx Black)

  1. AWWWWW Your card is so cute and adorable as can be. Loved your sweet "Z" story definitely a heart warmer he is going to love and cherish his card he'll carry it around and have it where he can see it all the time I'm guessing what an awesome grandma you are.....thanks for sharing your sweet "Z" moment. YOU ROCK!!

  2. Cute card! Love all of the smiley faces!

  3. Your card is adorable and Z will love it...sure it will make him smile. Kristina had a cute card but I like your take on it. Great idea to use the oval for the curve and make your own circle stamp with foam. I love how your card came out.
