Be Mine Door Hanger

Happy Friday!

Hey paper lovers! Today is day five and my last day, as guest designer, on the Obsessed with Scrapbooking blog!  I have had so much fun this week, sharing my Valentine treat idea's with you. I hope you were inspired! It's been an honor to have been asked to do this and I want to thank Joy, for the wonderful opportunity.

Today's project is a door hanger treat.
I designed everything on my Gypsy. I sized the door hanger to 11 1/4" tall and the inset (patterned) piece was sized at 10 1/4" tall. I only used the back potion, so I placed it on the mat so that the back potion was the only part on the mat, hence it was the only part that cut out. I also hid the circle and replaced it with a circle at was 1 1/4", it needs to be larger. I also sized one square, from George Basic Shapes, at 3"x 2 3/4" (front piece) and two at .625"x 2 3/4" (side pieces). The "Be Mine" was sized to 2 1/2"x 1 1/4 and cut out. Lastly, the XL label dies were cut out, everything was inked, assembled, the twine wrapped around the pocket.
I filled the pocket with goodies from the $1 stop at Target and some hand lotion from Bath and Body Works. I attached the lips, lip gloss with a glue dot. I didn't want it to get lost in the pocket.
Door hanger: Cricut, Art Philosophy Cartridge
Be Mine: Cricut, Artiste Cartridge
XL Label Dies: My Creative Time, Stitched XL Label Die & XL Label Die
Papers: PaperTrey Ink, Core'Dinations, and We R Memory Keepers
Twine: Trendy Twine, Valentine Cherry Cupcake
Socks & Lip Gloss: Target, $1 Spot
Lotion: Bath and Body Works

Pretzel Treat Bags

Happy Tuesday!

Hey paper lovers! It's day two of my guest spot over at the Obsessed with Scrapbooking blog.

Today's treat is chocolate dipped pretzels, in a bag, with a cute topper.
Hand dipping and decorating pretzels, are just about as fun to make as they are to receive. I love all the fun holiday sprinkles that can be found at the store. You can find the chocolate buttons, in different colors, at Michael's and Joann's.
I used my Gypsy to design the topper. I opened and sized the scalloped square, from Mini Monograms, to 3" x 3" wide. I found a square on George Basic shapes and sized it to 2.25" x 2.25". Once they were cut out, I inked the edges, glued them together, and folded them in half and adhere them, with Scor tape, to the tops of the pretzel bags. Lastly, I cut the heart dies, the banner dies, stamped the banners, and attached everything to the front, with foam tape.
Scallop Topper: Cricut, Mini Monograms
Square: Cricut, George Basic Shapes
Heart Die: My Creative Time, 100% Sweetness Stamp Set
Banner/Flag Die & Sentiment: My Creative Time, Chocolate Greetings Stamp Set

Candy Flower Treats

Happy Monday!

I am so excited because Joy over at Obsessed with Scrapbooking has asked me to be the guest designer on her blog this week! I am so thankful for this amazing opportunity!

Since Valentine's Day is exactly a month away, I thought it would be fun to spend the week sharing some fun Valentine's treat ideas. Today's treat is cute, inexpensive, and a perfect craft that kids can help make.
How fun are these lollipop treats?
I used my Gypsy to open and size the flower, from the Artiste cart, to 2.25" tall and I hid the circle in the center of the flower. I opened a circle from George Basic Shapes and sized it to .30", placed it in the center of the flower, and then grouped them together. After grouped, I copied and pasted as many flowers as I needed to the mat, so that I could cut them out all at once.

Once all my flowers were cut out, I inked the edges, stamped them in the center with the sentiment, and slipped the lollipop through the center.  You could also cut a small leaf and add that as well. That would be a perfect place to add a classmates name.
Flower: Cricut, Artiste Cartridge
Circle: Cricut, George Basic Shapes
Dum-Dums Lolli's: Dollar Tree
Paper: K and Company
All Around Sentiment: My Creative Time, Classmate Valentines
Pink Tulle Ribbon: Michael's
 Pot: Michael's

So I thought it would be fun to have a giveaway each day too! Today's giveaway is the My Creative Time stamp set that I used on my project!

All you have to do is leave a comment here and on the Obsessed with Scrapbooking  blog, make sure to add your contact information!  I will pick the winner, via random.org, this Sunday, January 20th and all the winners will be announced on here on my blog, Monday morning, January 21st.

Since starting my blog, I haven't done any scrap booking other then special projects or gifts and I am so behind... like 5 or 6 years behind! :( In tomorrow's post I will  show you a couple of the layouts I completed.

So... on to day's card! Last week my sweet friend Liz sent me a surprise in the mail. Don't you just love getting "happy" mail? Anyhow, I had been working on this card, in my head, for a couple weeks and when I saw the sentiment, I knew it would be perfect for my card.
The puffer fish, bubbles, and sea grass are from a svg set called Something Fishy, you can get it at Lettering Delights. They are currently having a customer appreciation promotion, if you spend $10 or more, you get $5 off your order. All you have to do, at checkout, is enter coupon code: FiveForYou. Today's project is a boxed set of shaped cards.
I used kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink for the box and the base of each card.
Th Cosmos Cricket papers that I used were from the"Jack's World" collection. The twine is from The Twinery.
The cards were designed using my Gypsy and the Walk  in my Garden Cricut cart. I welded shadows of each bug together to make the base of each card.

Each card measures approx 4.5" x 4.5". I also made envelopes and placed them in the box as well. I think it is going to make great gift.

You are my Sunshine...

Happy Wednesday!

I have a super quick post for you today. I have been busy with "life" stuff and so I haven't had a whole lot of "crafty" time in the last few days. This Saturday is National Scrapbooking Day and I am getting together with some friends to crop. Hopefully, I will be able to get some things done.

So... here is today's card.
I welded two tags from the Formal Occasions cart together to form the base of the card. The duckling is from the Create a Critter cart.
The papers are Papertrey Ink, DCWV Playtime stack, and Bazzill card stock.
The duckling's sweet little face is from Peachy Keen Stamps, CC-PK4 x 4 -020 Duck and Egg Die set and the sentiment is from Emma's sentiment set called, Turn That Frown Upside Down.

Don't forget that tomorrow is not just Cinco De Mayo, but.... it is also the start of a new Throwback Thursday challenge on Emma's blog! I can't wait to show you my card!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Imagination Monday!

Happy Monday!

First off I want to thank everyone for all the design team love! I am super excited that Emma asked me to be a part of her team and I can't wait to start creating with her new stamps.

This week for Imagination Monday, Emma asked those of us, on the design team, who own the stamp set "Mom You Rock" to create a project. It just so happened that I was working on a project for a friend and I had designed it around one of the stamps from that set.

Originally, I was going to make her a card, but I decided that a small wall plaque might be more fun.
While I was making it, all I could think about was a TV show that I watched when I was little called The Partridge Family.

I also kind of hate to admit it... but every time I look at it, I get a little choked up and emotional. I really, really love it!

All of the cuts are from Lettering Delights SVG files. The birds were cut from the Rise and Shine set and the frame is from the Felt Owl Right set.

**Note: The Rise and Shine set is not yet listed on the website for sale. You have to put something into your cart and then click "purchase," once you do that, it will take you to another page, where you will be able to purchase "Rise and Shine" as a pre-sale item, right now it only costs $2. Then you can delete the other item if you wish.**

Run don't walk and grab it (on sale) while you can!
My friend has twin girls and two boys.
The papers are from Papertrey Ink and BoBunny. The twine is from The Twinery.
The sentiment stamp is from Emma's set Mom You Rock stamp set, you can get it here.

I see a couple more of these in my future! Well... before next Sunday. :)

You still have time to enter my give-away, click here to see my "A royal Wedding Blog Hop" post. I am giving away two sets of Peachy Keen Stamps. I will be choosing the winner, via random.org, at 9pm (pst) tonight. The winner will be announced tomorrow morning.

Don't forget to stop by Emma's blog and check out all the other Imagination Monday projects!

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a wonderful day!
