Peachy Keen Stamps Alumni Blog Hop!

 Happy Monday!

If you are looking for Imagination Monday, scroll down to the next post.

Welcome to the Peachy Keen Stamps Alumni blog hop!

If you have arrived from the fabulous Mrs. Peachy Queen's blog (Kathy) then you are on the right track, if you would like to start at the beginning, click here.

The theme of this hop is "That's what friends are for".

So I made a pedestal card for my bestie.
The BFF Girls are from an old Treasure Box Designs file. I think it might of been a freebie? The original design has them holding  a heart, but I replaced the heart with a cupcake from the Clowning Around file. They were cut at 3.5" tall and the cupcake was cut at 1.5". I found the top note frame in the Make-the-Cut's free online library, it was cut at 4". Everything was designed in Make-the-Cut and cut out with my Ecraft. The finished card measures 4.25" x 4.25" x 4.25" tall.
The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, Core'dinations, and Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety, Material Girl, and Togetherness collections.

The sentiment stamp is from My Creative Time's, "This and That" stamp set.
Their sweet faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment.

So are you ready for some bog candy?

The twine is from The Twinery.

Ole'

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

If you are looking for the "May the Force be with You" blog hop, click here!

I wasn't going to make a card for today, I was actually just going to post about some yummy cupcakes that I made, but I found this super cute svg set a couple nights ago and I couldn't resist!
The lime in the sombrero is from Lettering Delights Cut-it-Set called, Cinco de Mustache. He was cut at 3.25" tall. The card base was made with a pennant shape from Friends Fur-ever cut-it-set. The base pennant was sized to 5" tall and 3.75" wide. I used the shadow layer feature in Make-the-Cut to create the base of the card, sized at 4.25" x 5.5". Then I welded two of them together at the top. The " Ole' " letters came from the same set as the lime. I joined them to the front layer pennant.
The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, Core'dinations, and Recollections.
The limes eye's are from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-294 The Cornies 1 1/8"
stamp set.

So... shall we go back to those yummy Margarita White Chocolate Coconut Key Lime cupcakes that I was talking about?

I made these last year for Cinco de Mayo (will be making them again this year) and never got a chance to share them. I found the recipe here!
...and they are so fun to make and eat!

Here is a picture of the spread that we had last year.
Home made beef rolled tacos, chips, and all the fixings! Hungry yet?

May the Force Be with You blog hop!

Happy May The Force Be With You Day!
 Yes! It's a actual Holiday!

If you have arrived from Michelle's blog then you are in the right track. If you would like to start at the beginning, click here.

My friend Candace and I thought today would be a fun day to host a blog hop! Since there's not a whole lot out there in terms of "Star Wars" crafts, we thought it would be fun to have a blog hop to showcase some fun ideas.

I thought it would be fun to create something with fabric, since that is my 1st love.
So if I could choose to change career's and  do/be anything I wanted, it would defiantly not be a stylist/photographer for 2yr olds. I did try... :)

So I made this snazzy little number... like it?
The  R2D2 design is from Little Scraps of Heaven's Galatial Adventures Good Guy's svg set. He was sized in Make-the-Cut to 7 " and I cut the fabric on my Ecraft. The t-shirt was $4 at Wal-Mart. I had all the cotton fabric on hand but you could get 1/4 yard of each color (fat quarter's would work too), at a fabric store, and that would probably be about $5 (depending on the fabric you choose). Make sure to pre-wash everything 1st.
I used Heat N Bond, iron on adhesive to attach the fabric to the shirt. You iron the Heat N Bond to the fabric and then cut out your pattern/design with your machine. Then you peel off the paper backing and iron it onto the shirt. I also top stitched around all the pieces just to make it more durable, since it was going to be worn by a 2yr old. Lastly, I used a white fabric marker to add the detail.

I did not make a video tutorial showing how to cut the fabric with my machine, I ran out of time, but here is a good one that Denise made. If you have a machine other then an Ecraft, you can search for your machine on YouTube. I have seen/viewed videos for the Silhouette and Cricut too.
Here is one more shot of my sweet boy and his brand new R2D2 shirt!

So no blog hop would be complete with out some type of blog candy.

Happy Teacher Day!

Happy Thursday!

If you are looking for Jamie's Blogiversary Blog Hop, click here.

So, if you have stopped by the blog this week, you know that this coming week is "Teacher Appreciation Week". I have been sharing teacher gifts and cards, all week. I am hoping that it has inspired you to make something for that special teacher, or two, in your life.

Today's project is a card.

The frog is from Lettering Delights, the set is called Toad-ally School. The frog was cut out at 3.25" high. I used a square from Make-the-Cut's free shapes. I sized it at 4" x 4" and welded two of them together to form the base of the card. The overall size of the card is 4" x 8".  The inset frames are 3.75" x 3.75" and 3.5" x 3.5". Everything was cut out on my Ecraft.
The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, Core'dinations, and Recollections.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time's, My Teacher Rock's stamp set. I used white embossing powder on black paper to give the feel of a "blackboard".

Don't forget!

Tomrrow is the big day! I can't wait for you to see all the fun "star wars" inspired projects!

Today's project is a "sweet treat" project.

The pie box is a cut from My Scrap Chick's, 30 Boxes file. I also cut the apple from her Kawaii Fruitstand file. The box was sized in  Make-the-Cut at 10.9" x 5.8", the apple is 2" x 2.25".
