***Giveaway Closed*** Love at First Sight Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday!

I was so excited when Sandra ask me to be a part of her "Love at First Sight" blog hop! There are so many talented blogger's in this hop, I can't wait to see everyone's projects!

If you have arrived here from Joanna's super amazing blog then you are on the right track, if you want to start at the beginning click here to go to Sandra's blog.

This blog hop is to celebrate Sandra's anniversary of when she met her hubby 8 years ago, it was "Love at First Sight", her 7th wedding anniversary, and of course Valentine's Day! She has asked us all to make a love themed gift for someone that we love. We will also be sharing pictures of us with the person we love.

For my project I made my BFF's, Caroline and her hubby Jeff, a banner for their fireplace. Caroline asked me a couple weeks ago if I would make them one and I though that this would be a prefect project for this blog hop.
It say's "Hugs & Kisses". It' hard to see the lighter letters. Have I ever told you how difficult it is to photograph banners... this one was particularly difficult becasue of the colors.
Close-up of the "hugs" side.
Close-up of the "Kisses" side.
The papers  are from K and Company's Valentine's stack and DCWV.
The banner tag was cut from the B is for Boy cart at 5". The hearts were cut from the Doodlecharms cart at 3 1/4". The letters were cut from the Birthday Bath cart at 1 1/2".

I used 6" wide pink tulle to string the banner together.

I love how it turned out and Caroline and Jeff love it too! :)

Sandra asked that we include a photo of the person that we love/made our gift for.  This first photo is my BFF, Caroline and her husband, Jeff. We were having dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, China Camp.
This next one is Caroline and I at Jeff's parents, 50th wedding anniversary party.
Here is one of Meaghan(Caroline & Jeff's daughter), Jeff, and I at the same party.

So no blog hop would be complete with out some sort of blog candy!

Tacky Tuesday's Challenege #2

Happy Tuesday!

I am so excited because today is Tacky Tuesday's Challenge #2!

First off, I wanted to announce the winner of challenge #1. There were a total of three entries, I used random.org to choose the winner and the winner is..... Pam Nisson! You can see Pam's card and blog here.  Pam won a set of PK-641 Princess Faces 1 1/8".

All three entries were great, thanks to the ladies that played along!

We decided that for challenge #2 we were going to change the rules a bit. First, if you do not have the cart that we pick, you can still play along as long as you use a similar cut.   You will still need to do a play on words somewhere on the front of your card.

For this weeks challenge we are using the whale from Create A Critter.
This is Janie's Card!

This is Raven's card!

This is Theresa's Card!

This is my card. :)
I used DCWV and K and Co papers. The whale was cut from the Create a Critter cart at 3". The hearts were cut from Doodlecharms at 4", 1.25" and 1". I printed the sentiment on my printer.
The whale's face is from PK-641 Princess Faces 1 1/8".

The winner of this challenge will receive the same set!

Make sure that you post your card to our Facebook group, Tacky Tuesday's, before February 1st, 2011.

Tomorrow starts a new challenge at Cricut Cradz Challenge, I will have a card for that and later in the day, I will show you my "sneak peak" for Peachy Keen Stamps, new release blog hop! See you then!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

"Let's Face it Friday" Challenge #3

If you are looking for the ROAK blog hop/giveaway click here!

Happy Friday!

The "Let's Face it Friday" challenge this week is to create a home decor item for fall. I found this really cute basket at Michael's and thought it would be fun to spruce it up a bit.
The pumpkins were cut from the Stretch your Imagination cart, the turkey is from Create a Critter, and the leaves and acorns are from Doddlecharms.
All the papers are DCWV. I used these stamps on the pumpkins faces and this stamp set on the turkey. I used my hot glue gun to adhere everything to the basket.
Aren't they sweet?

I can't wait to see what you fabulously talented ladies come up with for this weeks challenge!

Did you know that I'm having a giveaway? Click here for the ROAK blog hop/giveaway!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday!

I am so excited! Today is not just any normal Friday... it's Peachy Keen Stamps, very 1st "Let's Face it Friday" challenge!

This first challenge was to create a treat container used for Halloween (or Harvest/Autumn theme) using any of your PK Face Stamps as the focal point of your project.

Here are a few more close-up images.
I can't wait to see what you come up with!

That's Cool!

Happy Saturday everyone!

I made this card for this weeks challenge over at the Fabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The challenge was to create a card with a cool treat.

The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The stripe paper is from MAMBI and the green paper is from my scrap box, the ribbon is from Michael's, and the sentiment stamp is from here.  I cut the Popsicle cut from the Doodlecharms cart at 4".
The inside sentiment pieces measure 3 3/4" x 5", 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", and 2 3/4" x 4". The Popsicle was cut from the Doodlecharms cart at 1 1/4".

I hope your weekend is turning out to be wonderful!
Happy Scrap'n!

Puppy Love...

I made this card for Made by Momo's Tuesday Challenge. The current challenge is to make a project of what "Love" means to you. When I think of love, I think of my fur babies and the all unconditional love that they give me everyday. If you have a dog or cat, I am sure you understand what I am talking about. I just can't imagine my life without them!

I found this adorable cut on the Paper Pups cart and  it reminded me of my sweet fur babies and the love they have not just for me, but for each other.
The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used patterned paper from the DCWV Pet stack and solid DCWV card stock. The dog and cat were cut from the Paper Pups cart at 3 1/4". The hearts were cut from the Doodlecharms cart  at 1/2", 3/4" and 1". The ribbon is from Making Memories, it is a 7/8" natural tweed.

The sentiment pieces on the inside of the card measure; 5" x 3 3/4", 4 1/2" x 3 1/4", and 4" x 2 3/4". The plaid strip is 1" x 4 1/4" and the hearts were cut at 1/2" and 3/4".

So you know... this post would not be complete with out a picture of my fur babies, aren't they the sweetest!?!

I hope you have a wonderful day!
Happy Scrap'n!

More Monkey Love...

I made this card a couple weeks ago. Most of the time, the idea for a card always comes out so much better in my head. Kind of like reading a book and then seeing the movie, sometimes it can be disappointing. Well, I LOVE how this card turned out! It's almost exactly as I envisioned. I love when that happens!  :)
It is a standard A2 size card, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used the DCWV Summer Dreams designer paper and card stock stacks. The monkey was cut from the Create a Critter cart at 6" so were both of the vines, which you can find on the same page as the monkey. The heart was cut from the Doodlecharms cart, it was cut at 1 1/2".  The "Love" stamp is from the $1 bin at Michael's. I inked around the edges of all the cuts with coordinating inks.
The sentiment pieces on the inside of the card measure 3 3/4" x 5", 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", 2 3/4" x 4". The heart is the same cut as the front, but cut at 1".

Happy Scrap'n!
