True Love - Designer's Challenge

Happy Thursday!

Today is the start of a new Designer's Challenge on the My Creative Time blog. The challenge is to use embossing, heat or dry...or both! I'm really bad about using my embossing folders, so I broke them out.
10-10
I really love this heart embossing folder, truthfully, I think it's the first time I have ever used it. I think I am going to leave my folders next to my cuttlebug, hopefully, that will help remind me to use them more.
12-12
The card measure's 4.5"x 4.5". The insets are 4.25"square and 4" square. The bear was sized to 3" tall.
11-11
Paper: PaperTrey Ink & Core'dinations
Embossing folder: Sizzix, Love Set
Bear svg: Paper Piecing by Nikki, Love Bears
Banner/Flag Die & Sentiment: My Creative Time, Chocolate Greetings
Face Stamp: Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-170 Teddy Bear Assortment
Valentine twine, Esty

Sweet Baby - Thrifty Thursday

Happy Thursday!

Today is Thrifty Thursday on the My Creative Time blog. The goal of Thrifty Thursday is to use your "scraps", to make a card or project. I have a bin full of scrap paper that I have been working on trying to use up, so this project was right up my alley.

All of the papers and twine used, were left over scraps from other projects.
15-15
I made a card for a friend, who is getting ready to have a baby boy. I don't know why, but I am a little obsessed with elephants, when it comes to baby cards. See my last baby card here
16-16
The card base is from the Cricut Artiste cart. It's a tag shape, I took two and welded them together to form the base of the card. It measures 4.25" x 5.25".  The inset pieces were cut at 4"x 5" and 3.75"4.75". The elephant is from Paper Piecing's by Nikki, he was cut at 3.5".
17-17
Paper: PaperTrey Ink, Core'dinations, and Moxxie
Card Base: Cricut, Artiste Cart
Elephant, Paper Piecing by Nikki, Jungle Animals
Banner Die: My Creative Time, Chocolate Greetings Stamp Set
Sentiment: My Creative Time, Chocolate Greetings Stamp Set
Twine: Timeless Twine, Fire Cracker

Trendy Twine Guest Designer

Happy Tuesday!

If you are looking for my Jaded Blossom post, click here.

I was asked to be a guest designer today on the Trendy Twine blog. If you haven't seen their super yummy twine, you have to check it out!

My Project is a magnetic photo frame.

The twine is Trendy Twine's "Cherry Cupcake". This twine is a "twist" of double pink and double red.
The frame is made with a 5 x 7 metal roofing tin. They can be purchased at Home Depot in the roofing/sheet metal section. The papers are from Coredinations and We R Memory Keepers.

I borrowed this fun idea from my super talented friend Liz, from Liz's Paper Loft.
The ladybug is an svg from Paper Piecing by Nikki. It is from the Cute as a Bug (boy) set. I used Peachy Keen Stamps face stamp from Medium Critter Faces for her face.
