Design Team Thursday #10 ~ Joy's Life

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today is Joyslife.com's design team Thursday. She wanted us to design something with a St. Patrick's Day theme. I made these festive little boxes that hold cookies, for the occasion.
The pie box was cut from a svg that I purchased from myscrapchick.com

I used Make-the-cut to welded a shamrock to the top of the box, this created a window. Then I created the frame so that I could cover the edges of the clear acetate window.
The shamrock tag was cut at 2 3/4" and the sentiment is from the All Around Sentiment stamp set. I placed a cookie inside the box and tied the box shut with a piece of jute twine.

I love how it turned out. :)

Have you seen Joy's two new stamp sets yet?
They are so cute! I can't wait to get my hands on both sets!
She is offering FREE SHIPPING right now! Click here!

Tomorrow is the start of a new Let's Face it Friday challenge! I can't wait to show you the project that I made.

I hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!

Do People Still Wear Top Hats?

Happy Wednesday!

Here we are again half-way through the week. I have a super quick post for you today.

I haven't made to many St. Patty's Day cards, I had this one designed on my Gypsy and I decided I probably should cut it out before the holiday passed me by.
The hat is from A Child's Year cart. I welded two of them together on my Gypsy to form the base of the card.
I cut it out of Bazzil card stock. I cut two layers of the band and the shamrock to add a bit of
dimension.

See you back here tomorrow, it's a all new Joyslife.com design team Thursday. I can't wait to show you what I made for St. Patty's Day!
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Tacky Tuesday's Challenege #4

Happy Tuesday!

I am so excited because today is Tacky Tuesday's Challenge #4!

First off, I wanted to announce the winner of challenge #3. We had 58 entries for this last challenge. All of the cards were so cute and so creative! You guys ROCKED this challenge! I used random.org to choose a winner and the winner is...... Mary Winstanley!

Congrats Mary!

Thanks again to everyone who played along with us!

Remember, we changed the rules a bit. If you do not have the cut/cart that we pick, you can still play along as long as you use a similar cut, but you will still need to do a play on words somewhere on the front of your card.

This weeks challenge we are using the Bunny from the Birthday Bash cart (Page 27), you will also need to use the word "hop" somewhere in the sentiment on you card/layout.

Since Mary won the last challenge, I have asked her to be a guest designer this challenge!

Kimberly is our second guest designer!

Pam is our third guest designer!

This is Raven's tag!

 This is Janie's card!

This is the Queen's card!

Didn't everyone do a fabulous job!?!

This is my card!
The paper is K and Co and Coredinations. The sentiment stamp is from here.
The bunny's face is from PKS's PK-757 Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed Assortment.

The winner of this challenge #4 will receive a set of:
PK-451 Wide Eyed Kids 1 1/8".

Make sure that you post your card to our Facebook group, Tacky Tuesday's, before Tuesday, March 29th, 2011.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Smile... it's almost spring!

Happy Monday!

What a beautiful weekend it has been here in southern California! With all the rain that we have been having the last couple of weeks, the wild flowers are starting to spring up everywhere. I love this time of year... the grass along the freeway's is always so colorful. I am also starting to see lots of love bugs, a.k.a lady bugs, on the flowers and plants in the yard.

Today's card was inspired by all the flowers and love bugs that are popping up everywhere.
The flowers shape is from Just Because Cards and the love bug is from the Paisley. I welded two of the flower shapes together to form the base of the card. The total size of the card is 8.89 x 4.29, the yellow circle was cut at 1.98 x 1.98, and the love bug measures 1.43 x 1.75.

The papers are Doodle Bug Design and Coredinations.

The sentiment is from here.

Tomorrow is the start of a new Tacky Tuesday challenge! I can't wait to show you the projects we made... we even have three guest designers this time.

I hope you have a wonderful day!
