Inspire Me

Happy Wednesday!!!
Today is inspire me day on the MCT blog. I have two cards to share, this 1st card was inspired by this card. I love the background, so I thought I would try making something similar. I used Distress inks, water, and the Hexy Background Stamp Set. The sentiment is from the You're My Lucky Charm set and the clover is from the You're My Pot of Gold Stamp Set - REVISED.

My second card was inspired by this card. I really like the design/layout of the card, so I kept mine pretty close to the original. I changed up the theme to birthday by using the Let's Party Word Dies and the Sweet Wishes Stamp & Die Set.

Day 1 - MCT Sneak Peak

Happy Monday!!!

Today is the first day of sneaks for this months MCT new releases. We are sneaking a new die today, it's called the Circle Stitching Pattern Dies. They dies doesn't cut, but it does create a cool stitched pattern effect on your paper. I'm so excited about this new die and I have so many ideas for it.

Since St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow, I decided to make one last card. I used the shamrock die from the You're My Pot Of Gold Stamp Set. I cut off the stem and added a stamped a stem & the love bug from the Build A Pretty Flower Stamp Set.

Something for you...

Happy Wednesday!!!

Today is "What a Treat" Wednesday over on the MCT blog. Both of my nephews are huge fan's of bubbles. I found these green bubble wands at the $1 store, so I grabbed two thinking that they would make great St. Patty's day gifts. I made the tags with the tag from the Stitched Round Tab, Arrow & Tag Dies, the sentiment is from the new Mini Chalkboard Tags Stamp Set, and the mini shamrock is from the  All Around Holidays Stamp Set. I attached the tags with gold & cream twine. 

Levi already has his.... he spied them while I was taking photo's, so I had to break his open and spend some quality "bubble" time with him. ;)

Feeling Lucky?

Happy Tuesday!!!

Next Monday is St. Patrick's Day and I have one last card to share with you. I made this last year, for a project, when I was designing for Cutting Edge Magazine. I think it's cute and thought I would share it here on my blog. The shamrock is a free svg file, that I designed and I am sharing it, see below.

Directions:

Size shamrocks to 2”wide each and mirror one so that they are facing each other. Size the label to 4.8 x 3.7 make a .1025”shadow around it, then take this shadow layer and make another shadow at .1600”. Take the largest shadow layer and weld two of the together at the top, this forms the base of the card. Cut everything out and assemble. Stamp the faces on the shamrocks, cut out the label die, and heart button die. Stamp the label with the sentiment, tie a bow out of twine, and glue it to the front of the heart button. Assemble card and add stitching around the edge with a white pen.

Pot of Gold!

Happy Thursday!!!

I thought I would share this cute pot of gold that I made for a friend. It was relatively easy to put together and I love how it turned out. Hopefully, my friend will too. 

I sized the pot file to 3.25” tall, cut it out, and put it together. Second, I cut out the shamrock die, tied twine to the button, glued the button to the shamrock, and then attach it to the pot. The flag piece is 5.5” x  1.25”, fold in half and stamp with the sentiment, cut the end (so it looks like a flag), cut skewer to 5”, and attached the flag at the top with glue.  Fill with candy and slip in the flag.

I also altered the stitched scalloped tag a bit too. I have a video here, showing how to do it. I love how it turned out, hopefully she will too.

MCT Sneak Week - Day 2

Today is the 2nd day of sneaks, for this months new releases, over on the My Creative Time blog. Today's sneak is a stamp/die set called, I'm A Lucky Girl. 

It's a St. Patty's Day themed set, so I thought I would make some sort of treat for my niece's and nephew's for the coming holiday. I came up with chocolate drizzled Ding Dong's, sprinkled with gold sugar. Yum! Hopefully, they will like them!

St. Patrick's Day Kitty!

Happy Monday!

I have another fun Hello Kitty freebie for you today. I found this St. Patty's Day kitty and knew that I had to cover her. Can you believe it's almost St. Patrick's Day?!? This year is just flying by, for me anyway.

Anyhoo... lets get back to today's card shall we?

I made her into a shaped card. She was sized to 4"tall. I created a .1425 shadow layer around her and then welded two of them together, for the base of the card. I added the shamrock die, from My Creative Time, and a bit of twine to her hat for added effect. Add a bit of white stitching and there you have it, a quick and easy St. Patty's day card.

I also stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card.

I have a fun St. Patty's Day card for you today. 

 The beer stein is from the new Lettering Delights, Luck of the Irish svg set. I used the shadow feature in Make-the-Cut to create a base around the stein. Then welded two of the shadows together to form the base of the card and my Ecraft to cut everything out.

 The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, Coredinations.

I used Jaded Blossom's small flag die and My Creative Time's, I believe in Leprechauns stamp set.

Jaded Blossom's Monthly Challenge!

Happy Sunday!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge on the Jaded Blossom blog!

This months challenge is to create a card/project where the color green is one of the main colors used. It does not have to be St Patty day themed.

So every year I say I am going to try a Shamrock Shake , but I never do. I thought it was about time I get one. Can you say Yum! I just might have to get another one before St. Patrick's Day.

 I used one of the new black & white straws,  banner flag dies, the Eat and Drink stamp set, and the Luck of the Irish stamp set.
