MCT Sneaks week - Day 1

Happy Wednesday!

Today is day 1 of the sneak peaks for My Creative Time's July's new releases. This release is a fun one! I'm loving that all the new dies and stamps coordinate perfectly with Project Life/Simple Stories type scrapbooking.

I made a 4x6 card with a few of the newest dies and stamps.

Bye Bye Google Reader!

Happy Sunday!

 I popped by real quick to let you know that Google Reader officially stops working tomorrow (July 1st). What this means is that if you are following me though Google Reader, you will no longer be receiving my updates/new posts.

 No need to fret though!

 If you are currently using Google Reader, all you have to do is switch to another service like BlogLovin'. The process is easy, you just sign up for an account on their site and import your Google Reader (they do it for you!). Easy Peasey! I have been using BlogLovin' a couple days and I really like it!

Thrifty Thursday

Happy Thursday!

Today is Thrifty Thursday over on the My Creative Time Blog. So for 

Thrifty Thursday's the goal is to use scraps, extra's, or recycle something that wouldn't normally be used to make a card or paper project. Today there is an extra challenge, where we were asked to use circles.

I made a circle shaped card. (Super creative, I know...)

Normally when I make a card, I start with the cut on the front and then go from there. For today's card, I dug through my scrap paper box and found the coordinating pieces of paper first. I was thinking it would be cute with a butterfly or bug cut, but then I found the bee svg and I knew he was the one.

3-D Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!

Today is 3-d Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. 

I created a fun candy treat, that you could leave as a surprise for a child or even someone you love.

 Fun right!?!

The mini Snickers bars are wrapped in a scalloped Tag. I stamped the sentiments prior to gluing them around the candy bars. The candy bars slide right out. making them easy to  access.  :)  I used the Stitched Journal Die folded in half to create the topper.  I secured it with adhesive from my ATG gun, glue dots would work as well. The banners were attached with a single staple.

Scrapping the Little Things Monday

Today is Scrapping the Little Things Monday over on the My Creative Time blog. I made a quick page with a photo from my nephew's newborn photo shoot.  

This photo is of Levi inside my brother's Padres jersey, that is why I added the Padres logo and the "Little Slugger" cut. I love the new "Journal It" stamps from MCT, it was perfect to put all his vital stat's on.

3-D Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! 

Today is 3-d Wednesday over on the My Creative Time Blog. 

My best friend and her hubby are big baseball fans and they have season tickets for the Padres. I thought it would be nice to make her a "home game" calendar that she could keep on her desk at work. Something that didn't necessarily scream "Padres", but that she still wouldn't mind having on her desk.  I made sure to highlight all of the "home" games so that she could just quickly glance at it.  

I was thinking these would be a great gift for parents that have kids on sports teams. They could be designed around any sport.

Today is Scrapping the Little Things Monday on the My Creative Time blog. I made a quick page with some photo's that my brother and SIL had taken of the boys last week. Aren't they sweet!?!

I think I prefer the Simple Stories 6x8 pages over Project Life's 12x12 pages. I will still probably use the 12x12 ones, but I am finding more and more that I am favoring the smaller ones.

I sized my kitty to 3.75" wide. I created a .1600 shadow layer around her and then welded two of them together at the top, to form the base of the card.
