Happy Monday!!!

Today is "Made in Minutes" Monday over on the My Creative Time blog. This card is probably the fastest card I've ever made. I already had the camera made, from new release week. I used Wink of Stella in the lens with some Dimensional Magic, I love how it looks like a real lens. I hadn't yet played with the new dot die that comes in the Tag Die Layers, I love the look of it.

Birthday Wishes!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hiya! Today is Inspiration Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. I found this card a couple years ago on Flickr and marked it as a favorite. I've been wanting to make my own version and I finally got the around to it. I made my card a birthday card, like the inspiration card, but I was thinking that it would be a fun "thinking of you" card as well. Next time I will probably stamp the sentiment on the inside.

  I used a darning needle/piercer and punched a hole through the front of the card, on either side of the crayons. Then I threaded the darning needle with twine and pulled the it through each hole and tied it around the crayons. I found that the crayons were still a bit wobbly, especially the more it is handled, so I secured each crayon with a small glue dot on the back.

MCT 35th Release Blog Hop!

Happy Friday!!!

Today is My Creative Time's 35th Release blog hop! What a fun week this has been, full of new products and lots of inspiration! I know I had a lot of fun viewing the sneaks each day. Today card is a simple one. I used the paint splotch stamps from the Family is Everything set, to make a Christmas tree. I used three different green ink pads, alternating them to make it look more realistic. I also used some smaller stamps, from a couple different sets, in red and grey ink to make it look like a decorated tree. I added a bit of silver Wink of Stella to the grey dots, so the card really shimmers. It's hard to see in the photos though. I stamped the sentiment a little ways below the tree to act as a base and balance the card. Lastly, I added the small star at the top, to finish it off.

This card also has a "pre" sneak on it... it will be released next month!

MCT 35nd Release Sneaks - Day 4

Happy Thursday!

WooHoo! It's the 4th day of sneaks for this months MCT new release's! Today we are sneaking the new "Tag Die Layers" dies.

 I was so excited to see that Emma had an inset tag die made, to coordinate with the original tag die. So now we can create a "shadow" layer. I altered both tags a bit, I cut off the hole at the top of each tag. I'd been wanting to use the Dream Bigger Stamp for awhile now and it just happens to fit perfectly on the tag. I also used the paint splotches from the new Family is Everything set. I think that might be my new favorite set!

MCT 35nd Release Sneaks - Day 3

Happy Wednesday!

WooHoo! It's the 3rd day of sneaks for this months MCT new release's! Today we are sneaking the new stamp and die set called "Picture Perfect" and a single die called "Camera Bottom Layer Die".

I used one of the sentiments from the Picture Perfect set. I made this card for my sweet Zachary. It's just a reminder, we all need those sometimes. :)

I cut the monster at 2.5" tall. The turquoise circle is the largest circle in the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, the orange wavy layer is also from that set. I used the Build A Chevy Background Stamp Set to make the background pattern on the turquoise circle. I used the smallest banner from the Trio Stitched Banner Dies.

MCT 35nd Release Sneaks - Day 2

Happy Tuesday!

WooHoo! It's the 2nd day of sneaks for this months MCT new release's! Today we are sneaking the new stamp set called "Family is Everything". This new set is really fun! It has paint splotches, sentiments, and two word dies.

So... when I first saw the "splotches", I hate to admit it, but I thought of blood spatters. I think I have been watching to much 48 Hours Mystery and The First 48 tv shows. Anyway... I've also been wanting to use this super cute zombie svg for awhile now and so it all just came together. I decided to make two cards because I couldn't decide on a sentiment.

Last month Emma released the Alpha Pack Stamp Set. It's the BEST set, you get three different font styles and can make you own sentiments. Also... I am "pre" sneaking items that are being released in September, can you figure out what they are?

MCT 35nd Release Sneaks - Day 1

Happy Monday!

WooHoo! It's the 1st day of sneaks for this months MCT new release's! Today we are sneaking the new stamp set called "Fun Vertical Greetings". 

This new stamp set works perfectly with the Embossed Gift Card Holder Die, but I decided that I would use it in a different way.  My friend asked me if I would help make some "thank you" treats for her daughters princess birthday party. We found these princess pencils at the dollar store, so she bought some. I put two in a clear candy treat bag, cut three banner pieces 3-4.5 inches long, stamped one with the "thank you" sentiment, and then attached them at the top pf the bag with my tiny attacher & some twine. 
Super easy and cute!

Pumpkin Box Treat

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is the start of a new Designers Challenge on the My Creative Time blog. It's a color challenge and the colors worked out perfectly for this cute little pumpkin treat box. 

The Pumpkin box was made with a pieces of paper cut at 7.5" x 7.5". I scored it at 2.5" on all four sides, folded up the sides, and glued them together. I used the triangle die from the Love To Learn Dies + Stamps, and the 3rd & 5th circles from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, to make the face pieces. The stem is the end of largest stitched banner, from the Stitched Decorative Banner Dies and the leaf is the medium sized of Stitched Leaves Dies. The sentiment is stamped on the smallest of the Trio Stitched Banner Dies. The sentiment is from the Piles Of Smiles stamp set. There is a cute leaf die in that set as well. It would look just as cute!

I was going to make a video, showing how I made the face parts, but I ran out of time. I will try and get something up this weekend.

Timeless Twine & Lil' Inker Designs Cross Promo

Happy Tuesday!

Timeless Twine and Lil' Inkers Designs are doing a cross promo this week. If you follow my blog, you know that I have already started making/sharing Halloween treats this year. So when I saw the Bats & Broomsticks Dies and coordinating Bats & Broomsticks Stamps, I couldn't pass them up!

I mean, seriously, who can say no to chocolate nuggets? Especially when they are decorated in Halloween paper, spooky cute bats, and fun sentiments? The nugget wraps were cut at 1 1/8" tall x 3" long. I stamped the sentiment before I wrapped them around the nuggets. Then I secured the wrap, around the nugget, with some glue. The bats can be attached with a small bit of glue, as well. Bag them up and tie the bag shut with some fun Timeless Twine.
