Tacky Tuesday's Challenege #3

Happy Tuesday!

I am so excited because today is Tacky Tuesday's Challenge #3!

First off, I wanted to announce the winner of challenge #2. We had 40 super cute and very creative entries this time! Thank you to everyone that played along with us! I used random.org to choose the winner...... and the winner is.... Kimberly Miller Jensen! Congrats Kimberly!
Remember that we changed the rules a bit. If you do not have the cart that we pick, you can still play along as long as you use a similar cut, but you will still need to do a play on words somewhere on the front of your card.

This weeks challenge we are using the Chick from the Simply Charmed cart (Page 35), you will also need to use the word "chick" somewhere in the sentiment on you card/layout.
 This is Janie's Card!
This is Raven's card!
We have a guest designer this week! This is Alex's card!
This is the Queen's card! Hop on over to her blog for more info and photos!
This is my seriously tacky card... in more ways then one.

The winner of this challenge will receive a set of PK-451 Wide Eyed Kids 1 1/8".

Make sure that you post your card to our Facebook group, Tacky Tuesday's, before March 1st, 2011.

Also... don't forget that tonight is the...

Popcorn, PJ's, and Projects Ustream!

We are going to have soooo much fun! I hope you will join us!

Here is the link to the Ustream page:

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you had a great weekend. I spent most of my weekend doing yard work in my front and back yards. It was a TON of work but both yards look so much better. I should have taken before and after photos, but I was to embarrassed to let anyone see how bad I had let them get.  It feels really good to have both yards back in shape. Next weekend will be the side yard/carport area's turn.

I was able to spend a little time last night working on projects for tomorrow night's Ustream. Have you heard about the Ustream that Alex and I are hosting tomorrow night? We have some really fun things planned and some really cool prizes to giveaway! It's going to be so much fun, I can't wait! I hope that you will be able to join us. :)

I will admit that I am a little sad that this will be my last Valentine's Day card until next year. I have had a lot of fun the last couple weeks making Valentine's cards.
This one came, together fairly quickly. I just mimicked the love bird paper. Every once in awhile it's fun to take a design from your favorite paper and mimic it. I think that this love bird paper is one of my favorites this year.
The paper is Doodlebug Designs and Coredniations. The ribbon was purchased at Michael's.
The birds were cut from the Songbird cart and the heart is from Create a Critter.

Tomorrow there will be a new Tacky Tuesday challenge! I can't wait to show you the design team's cards, they are so cute! There is also have a special guest designer this week.  This weeks challenge prize is a set of PK-451 Wide Eyed Kids 1 1/8" stamps. I hope that you play along with us!

Also... don't forget that tomorrow night is the...

Popcorn, PJ's, and Projects Ustream!

What's in your purse?

Happy Tuesday!

I thought that I would do something a little different today.

I have been following Kristine's blog for a year or so now and at the beginning of the year she started "My A List Life" on her blog. I have never been much of a journaler, but I am obsessed with making lists. I make lists all day long... for everything. So when I first saw her post for "My A List Life", I knew that I was in. :)

I thought it would be fun to share my week 3 list.

This week the “List it” download is: “List every item in your purse” . . . that’s right EVERY item . . .no cheating.  I think random things like this can be kind of fun.  It is a unique way to really get to know someone.  It’s one of those things that would have been kind of fun to read about the items my grandma kept in her purse.

So here it goes:

1 Subject College Ruled Notebook (full of notes) :)
Cards Magazine, Feb. 2011
Cricut Magazine, Feb/Mar 2011
Crafts 'n things  Magazine, April 2011
Sunglasses
Wallet
iPhone
Cell Phone #2
2- large envelopes, blog candy, that I need to take to the post office and mail.
Gypsy
Mini Maglite Flashlight
Halls Sore Throat Drops
Advil
3 Tampons
3 pens
Business card holder & cards
2 mini rolls of Offray ribbon
Aquaphor
Lip gloss
Blistex
Post-it notes in the shape of a heart
Post-it tabs (white and pink)
Keys
Loose change

So... I have two questions.

1. What does that say about me?
2. What's in our purse right now?

I have a couple winners to announce.

The winner of last months Tacky Tuesday's Challenge is Kimberly of Kimberly's Craft Spot! Here is her super cute card.
Kimberly wins the 1 1/8" Princess Faces set from Peachy Keen Stamps.

Everyone created such cute cards! Thanks to everyone who played along! The new challenge will be up next Thursday, Feb 15th.

The next winner is from the "Love at First Sight" blog hop.

...and the winner is...

Emily

What a cute banner. I think I am going to try making one for Easter. We always have a big family gathering at our house and it would be fun to have a banner for decoration. Thanks for sharing and the chance to win the set of Peachy Keen stamps. I have been a follower for awhile now.

Congrats Emily!

Hogs and Kisses!

Happy Monday!

Did you have a good weekend? I spent Saturday with my BFF, Caroline. Every year her hubby and his dad go skiing for a week in Tahoe. He left Saturday morning and so we decided to have a "girls" day. We drove to Temecula, CA and went shopping and then had lunch at a yummy restaurant in their quaint "Old Town". It was a beautiful day and we ate out on the patio and had lots of fun talking and spending time together. Then yesterday afternoon I spent some time with Theresa, working on projects for this week on my blog and for my up coming Ustream with Alex.

Have you heard about the Ustream that Alex and I are having?
I hope that you will join us as we share some FUN and EASY paper crafting tutorials, LIVE all evening !!! Pop IN and OUT at your leisure AND you never know... there might be some fun GIVE AWAYS too !... wink, wink :)

I can't wait to tell you MORE of what we have planned! So stay tuned ! We are so EXCITED that we just might explode! :)

You can RSVP here!

So lets  get on to today's card shall we?
You can't tell from the photo, but the pigs/hogs are on wobbles. The card was made by welding together two labels from the Lacy Labels cart. The pigs and heart were cut from the Just Because cart.
The inside of the card says, "Hogs and Kisses!"
The papers are Coordinations and K and Co. The twine is from The Twinery.

OINK OINK!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you have time, leave a comment here, for a chance to win a set of Peachy Keen Stamps. I will be to be picking a winner via random.org, tonight, and will announce the winner in the morning!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

***Giveaway Closed*** Love at First Sight Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday!

I was so excited when Sandra ask me to be a part of her "Love at First Sight" blog hop! There are so many talented blogger's in this hop, I can't wait to see everyone's projects!

If you have arrived here from Joanna's super amazing blog then you are on the right track, if you want to start at the beginning click here to go to Sandra's blog.

This blog hop is to celebrate Sandra's anniversary of when she met her hubby 8 years ago, it was "Love at First Sight", her 7th wedding anniversary, and of course Valentine's Day! She has asked us all to make a love themed gift for someone that we love. We will also be sharing pictures of us with the person we love.

For my project I made my BFF's, Caroline and her hubby Jeff, a banner for their fireplace. Caroline asked me a couple weeks ago if I would make them one and I though that this would be a prefect project for this blog hop.
It say's "Hugs & Kisses". It' hard to see the lighter letters. Have I ever told you how difficult it is to photograph banners... this one was particularly difficult becasue of the colors.
Close-up of the "hugs" side.
Close-up of the "Kisses" side.
The papers  are from K and Company's Valentine's stack and DCWV.
The banner tag was cut from the B is for Boy cart at 5". The hearts were cut from the Doodlecharms cart at 3 1/4". The letters were cut from the Birthday Bath cart at 1 1/2".

I used 6" wide pink tulle to string the banner together.

I love how it turned out and Caroline and Jeff love it too! :)

Sandra asked that we include a photo of the person that we love/made our gift for.  This first photo is my BFF, Caroline and her husband, Jeff. We were having dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, China Camp.
This next one is Caroline and I at Jeff's parents, 50th wedding anniversary party.
Here is one of Meaghan(Caroline & Jeff's daughter), Jeff, and I at the same party.

So no blog hop would be complete with out some sort of blog candy!

I am giving away a set of Peachy Keen, PK-451 Wide Eyed Kids 1 1/8" stamps.

All you have to do to be entered to win is:
1. Become a follower, if not already.
2. Leave me a comment on this post.

That's it! I will choose a winner via Random.org on Monday night and announce the winner Tuesday morning. Good Luck!

Below is the list of all the blogs in the hop.

Your next stop is the fabulous "Elsa's" blog!
