Peachy Keen Stamps: Sketch Challenge #55

Happy Tuesday!

Today is the start of an all new Peachy Keen Stamps: Sketch Challenge #55.

The challenge is to create a card or layout based on the SKETCH provided.
This is the card I created.
I made if for a friends husband, he is a chef at the BEST Italian restaurant.
The papers are from Papertrey Ink, Coredinations, and Making Memories. The chef cut was a freebie svg file from from Lettering Delights. It's called "Pizza Man", click here to see it!
I used Make-the-Cut to fill in the Chefs face, so that I could use a face stamp, in the place of the face in the original design. I face stamp I used is from PKS's, PK-680 Retro Paper Doll Face Assortment.
I also used PKS's background stamp, PK-100 Large Polka Dot, to create the embossed polka dot background on the red boarder. The sentiment stamp is from one of Emma's new stamps sets called Encouraging Quotes.

Here are the challenge guidelines:
Design must be new
Project must incorporate elements from provided sketch
Link up by 7/11 - 11:59 pm CDT

As with all of our sketch challenges, the basic layout should be there, but feel free to flip elements & get creative!

The sketch!

My Creative Time's Winner, a Tacky Tuesdays Update and a few other things...

Happy Monday!

Did you have a nice weekend?

First off, I wanted to share a couple of super cute cards that were made for my Tacky Tuesday Challenge!

Sooo cute, no?!? I would love to have you join the challenge, you still have one week to left to enter! Click here!

Also!

I have decided to make a few changes!
1. I am moving the challenge to the 1st Tuesday of each month. Currently, the challenge starts on the third Tuesday of each month.

Below are the requirements for being a designer for the challenge:
1. You must be a member of the Tacky Tuesdays page on Facebook.
2. You will have to make a card each month for the challenge.
3. A photo of your card emailed to me by the Sunday night before each challenge.
4. You will need to post about the challenge, on your blog, the day the challenge starts. You will also need to link to the Facebook page in your post.
5. Visit the TT Facebook page daily (during the challenge period and leave comments for every single entry, and visit all the entries blogs (if they have one) and leave a comment there as well.
6. Help to promote the challenge on Facebook by positing about it in your news feed.
 7. I need this commitment until the end of the year.

I realize that everyone is very busy! We all have families, work and life responsibilities, but if you think you can fit in all of the above requirements, I would love to have you on my team!

So here is what you need to do...
1.  Leave a comment on this post, saying that you would like to be on my team.
2. Include your blog address and your email address. (Sorry, you must have a blog to be a designer.)

I will choose three people on Friday. The new designers will be announced here and on the Tacky Tuesday Page on Saturday morning.

#2 on the list....

Have you seen that Lettering Delights has launched their "Cut It files"? Cut It files are designed specifically with cutting machines in mind. Each "Cut It" set includes several different file formats (ai, dxf, eps, gsd, jpg, pdf and svg). So, for example, if you own a Silhouette, you no longer need to convert the LD SVG's in Inkscape. You are now able to use the LD files in .dxf or .gsd format in the Silhouette Studio program! This holds true for all of the other machines on the market. The exception would be any Provo Craft machine.

Lettering Delights is so excited about this new product, that they are offering all of the new sets, in one HUGE bundle! It's called the CUT ITS SIMPLE SHAPE SUPER BUNDLE. The bundle has all 50 new sets, for one low price of $49! The best part? Each set each set has 15 images or more! That is over 780 images total! FYI ~ the regular retail price of the bundle is $150!
Like I said, there are 50 sets in the bundle and there is no way I could show all of them here, but here are a few of my favorites. If you would like to see everything in the bundle, click here.

I am so excited about these files! They are one layer, which makes them perfect for that last minute card or tag that you need to make, they will make for quick and simple layouts, great for kids crafts, for glass etching, stenciling, and vinyl projects! Think of all the things you could make for your car, home decor around the house, kids crafts, and even t-shirts! Heat transfer vinyl makes it super easy to make t-shirts for family reunions, kids camps, vacation bible school, birthday parties... the sky is the limit!

$49 for 50 sets! (that's over 780 images!)

Want to hear the BEST part? If you have purchased anything from LD in the last month, or purchased a freebie (place the freebie in your cart and check out like normal, then you will be emailed a receipt with a 25% off coupon!), you should have a 25% off coupon on your emailed receipt! That means you can bring the total down to $36.75! That is less then 5 cents an image!

Don't wait to long... you never know when the sale may end! Click here to see the bundle!

#3 on the list!

Last but not least...
The winner of the My Creative Time New Release Blog Hop is...
Stacey!
What a pretty layout!

Summer SVG Shindig Blog Hop!

Happy Friday!

If you are looking for the Let's Face it Friday challenge, click here.
If you are looking for the My Creative Time's June's Stamp Release Blog Hop, click here.

Welcome to the Summer SVG Shindig Blog Hop!

If you have arrived from Julietta's blog you are on the right track. If you would like to start from the beginning, click here.

All the projects today were made with svg files only.

I decided that since I am "the banner queen" and becasue it's been at least two months since I made a one, and after all 4th of July is right around the corner...

I think this my my favorite banner of all time, in fact, I might just leave it up until next year. Actually, my bestie already has it hanging in her house, across her mantel. :)
Here are a few more close-ups.
The star rosette is an svg that my amazingly creative friend, Jessica at svgattic.com designed. The file is called Vintage Patriotic Cupcake Wrappers, you can buy it here. It was meant to top a cupcake but I modified it to make it work with what I needed. Jessica gave me a coupon code, "shindig", use it when you checkout and receive 40% off your total purchase! Good through June 26th midnight!  SVGAttic.com
Here's a better view, my angle outside was kinds weird. Super cool huh!?! Jessica has a Facebook page too, if you go there and "like" her and tell her I sent you, I will throw your name in two more times for today's blog candy!
The banner flags and the mini flags are svg's from svgcuts.com, the set is called Made in the USA.
The font is a Lettering Delights font called Mon Cherie, you can get it in svg form or just as a  font.
Here are a few more things:

1. Paper is DCWV Nautical Stack & Glitz17 Cardstock.
2. The cording is cotton 1/2" welt cord that I purchased at the fabric store, you would normally use it to make welting on pillows or soft goods. I liked the natural feel it gave and I hand it on hand, so it was free!
3. The banners measure 5", the flags measure 4", the scalloped star measures 5" (the three pieces, were each cut at 5" x 7.25"), the letters are 2 1/2" tall with the shadow, and the smaller star's range in size from 4" to 2".
4. Everything was cut using Make-the-Cut and my Silhouette.
5. The twine and ribbon were from my stash.

The design of my banner was inspired by this banner that I found on Pinterest.com.

So no blog hop would be complete with out some sort of blog candy! I am giving away some Peachy goodness!

PK-441 Cute and Cuddly 1 1/8"

All you have to do to be entered to win is:
1. Become a follower on my blog, if not already.
2. Leave a comment on this post.

3. Go to Jessica's Facebook page, "Like" her page and tell her that Ruthie sent you! (2 extra entries)

That's it! I will choose a winner via Random.org on Tuesday night and announce the winner Wednesday morning. Good Luck!

Here is the hop line up!

Your next stop on the hop is the super creative and amazingly talented Tamara!

I also wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Belinda, for letting me crash her blog hop! :)

I hope you have a great day!
