Lucky Stars

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is Do-Over Thursday over on the MCT blog. I wasn't a fan of my card on Monday, you can see it here, so I re-did it. I'm happy that I did too, because this card is more like what I had envisioned when I made the first card.

I made the star background paper with the three star stamps in the Thanks for the Lift Stamp Set. I switched up my sentiment so that it better fit with the theme of the card, but I did place the banner & airplane is the same position on the card. I also added some vellum stars and sequins.

Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today is Tag it Tuesday over on the MCT blog. I made a quick birthday tag with the Tag Dies and the new The Sky is the Limit balloon. Instead of using enamel dots, I broke out my bin of brads. I really like the more masculine feel of the metal brads.

My Creative Time's 42nd Release blog hop!

Day 4 - MCT Sneak Peak

Wish you were here.

Happy Wednesday!!!

Today is Inspire Me Wednesday on the MCT blog. I found this this technique, called "Velveteen" Stamping and thought I would give it a try. It's simple, you stamp or stencil a background, using white ink, on your card base and then stamp over top. It creates a really neat veleteen look. I used a Heidi Swapp diagonal stripe stencil for my background. Th flowers and sentiment are all from MCT.

I really love this technique!
