I'm so excited about these new circle dies! I've been wanting Emma to make nesting circles for so long. I love that they have the negative stitching, but that she switched up the design and they have a piercing around the positive edge.  Sometimes it's good to switch things up a bit.

MCT 32nd Release Sneaks - Day 4

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is day 4 of sneaks for this months MCT new releases! Today we are sneaking the final three items from this release, the Pretty Butterflies & Dragonfly Dies, the Live, Love, Laugh, and Be Happy Stamp set, and the Social Media Dies.

 I used one of the Fun Stitched Edge Dies to create the curve on the front flap of the card. I stamped the pierced circle with the sentiment and then attached, the top half, it with some foam tape. That way you can open the card. Last but not least, the new butterfly dies... LOVE them! I think the side butterfly is my favorite and I love love love the "fill in" stamps on the Live, Love, Laugh, and Be Happy Stamp set.

I also made a second card with the Social Media dies.

So as soon as I saw these dies, it made me think of how these icons can be and sometimes are used in place of curse words in cartoons, comic books, and so on. Then one my DT sisters was talking about how she thought the same thing, so a few of us decided it would be funny to make icon curse cards/projects with our dies. So if you have hopped through the hop, I'm sure you've seen a few others. Sometimes it's fun to step out of the box. Plus, I have the perfect person to give this card to!

MCT 32nd Release Sneaks - Day 3

Happy Wednesday!!!

Today is day 3 of sneaks for this months MCT new releases! Today we are sneaking three new items, the Make a Splash Die, the Anchors & Heart Dies, and the Hey Sailor Stamp Set. 

I used the new Build a Scripty & Watercolor Background Stamp Set, to create my back ground. I used the two smaller watercolor stamps and stamped them over and over until I covered my card front. Then I stamped my sentiment and added the anchor with  a bit of twine and some foam tape.

MCT 32nd Release Sneaks - Day 2

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today is day 2 of sneaks for this months MCT new releases! We are sneaking two new items today, the Lost at Sea Dies & Stamp Set and the Stripey Background Stamp. 
I used both on my card.

How fun is this port hole die?!? OMGosh... so many fun possibilities! The sentiments/stamps that come with it give you lots of options for great cards or even journaling cards.

MCT 32nd Release Sneaks - Day 1

Happy Monday!!!

Today is the 1st day of sneaks for this months MCT new release's! This release has put me in the mood for summer. Today we are sneaking three new items; Bunch of Fun Circles Dies, Build a Scripty & Watercolor Background Stamp Set, and the Speech Bubble Sentiments w/Die Set. 

I'm showcasing the Speech Bubble Die.

I made this card for my nephew, for his 1st birthday. The seal and his ball (print n cut) and the coordinating papers are from a digital set called Circus Magic.  The new Speech Bubble die is really easy to use and love that you can make the bubble any size you need.

Photo Fun Challenge

Happy Sunday!!!

Today is the start of an all new challenge over on the Timeless Twine blog. This months challenge is a photo fun challenge. 

You can make anything photo related (card, LO , 3d etc) but using the theme "Photo". This can mean to add a photo, use something photo themed (film strip, Polaroid, camera etc) anything that again is Photo fun. Today is inspiration Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. I found this card on Pinterest and thought I could use it as inspiration for a graduation card for my nephew. He is graduating from high school in June.

 I wish I had made the yellow piece shorter. It's 3" tall, but it think it would look better at 2 1/2", so it would show more of the grad cap paper that's behind it. Other then that, I'm happy with how it turned out.

Thank you Teacher Gift

Hey there! So today is my dt day over on the Timeless Twine blog. This week is "Teacher Appreciation Week" here in the US and so I made a small little gift for Z to take to his pre-school teacher.

She drinks tea, so I slipped 3 bags into a small zip-lock baggie and made a fun topper for it, to dress it up a bit. I used the scalloped die in the Treat Slider Box Die Set, 
scored it in the center and folded it in half. The blue number paper is 1 1/4" tall by 3 1/4" wide. The banner and flower dies are listed below. I added some  Chocolate Chip Brown twine around the top and in the center of the flower.

Thrifty Thursday

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is Thrifty Thursday over on the My Creative Time Blog. 

All the papers on this card are from my scrap box. I also found 3 small pieces of ribbon that I probably should of thrown away, but I was able to piece them together (cheater method?) so that it looks like one long piece. The wreath was already stamped on a scrap piece of paper, I'd stamped it a couple weeks ago when I was playing with the new Pretty Spring Wreaths Stamp Set. I used the  Stitched XL Label Die to cut it out and then added some small bling to the center of the flowers. I love using up my scraps. :)

MCT Monthly Challenge - Mother's Day

Today is the start of an all new designers challenge on the My Creative Time blog. This weeks challenge is to make a Mother’s Day project or card using at least one MCT flower – it can be a stamp or a die.
