Happy Saturday!
Can you believe it's already July!?!
I spent yesterday playing catch up and working on some July 4th party decor for our annual 4th party. I received an email late Thursday night from Lettering Delights, every Friday they give away a "freebie", don't you just love freebie's? Me too! This weeks freebie is a star fan. I thought it might be fun to make a few for the party.
They were fairly easy to make. I made them as big as I could, they measure right at a 6" diameter. The centers of the fans are from a separate svg file, called Vintage Patriotic Cupcake Wrappers, the file is from SVG Attic.com. They were all cut at 3".
I used bamboo skewers for the handles. The papers I used are from DCWV, Heidi Grace Designs, and Bazzill.
The centers are suppose to be cupcake toppers but I thought they would look really cute in the center of each fan. Definitely less calories on those fans, then if they were sitting on the top of a cupcake.
Imagine if you can... my bestie's and I relaxing in our beach chairs, under the umbrella , toes in the sand/water, sangria in one hand, and one of my patriotic fans in the other? While the men wait on us. Ooops! Did I just type that? :)
Last but not least....
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who applied to be a Tacky Tuesday designer. I had a really hard time choosing, so I ended up using Random.org. If you were not picked, please don't get discouraged. I am planning on choosing an new team in December, so please try again next time!
The new Tacky Tuesday design team is...
Congrats ladies!
Don't forget that this Tuesday is the last day of the June challenge and it will also be the start of the July challenge.
I hope all my US peeps have a wonderful (and safe) 4th!
