My Birthday Blog Hop

Happy Saturday!

If you have arrived from Jenn's blog you are on the right track, if you would like to start at the beginning, click here to go to Samantha's blog.

Samantha asked us to create a project with a birthday theme. I made a card for my friends little girl.
The shaped card is a basic shape that I found in the Make-the-Cut software. The Harajuku Girl is from the Lettering Delights new SVG set, called Birthday Harajuku Girl.
The papers are from Bazzil, American Crafts, Papertrey Ink, and Bo Bunny.

The sentiment stamp is from My Creative Time's, WOW! So Many Candles stamp set, the little girl's face is from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-640 Princess Face Assortment, and the twine is from The Twinery.

So no blog hop would be complete with out some sort of blog candy!
I am giving away some Peachy goodness!

Summer Fun "Guest Designer" Friday!

Happy Friday!

Can you believe that we are already at the end of July!?! Holy Cow! Where the heck did the summer go? Today is the ninth week of my summer guest designer series. This week's guest designer is super talented friend, Angelica, she is one of the junior "peaches" of Peachy Keen Stamps, owner and illustrator of Market Street Stamps, and after all that she has a crafty blog too! Whew!

Hello September Ninth fans! I am SO excited to be a guest designer on my pal Ruthie's blog today!! Ruthie is a sweetheart and did you know she made both of my daughter's birthday banners this year? Yep! Check them out here and here! They were a fantastic conversation piece - everyone loved them!

I'm Angelica {Handmade by Angelica}: mommy, wife, blogger, illustrator, and small business owner. To say my life is busy is an understatement, but taking time out of my day to create - even if just a doodle in my art journal - keeps me sane!

Today I'm sharing a summer-color-inspired card using one of my favorite mediums - Copic Markers!
I used "Lauderdale" by Basic Grey, some kraft and black cardstock, and of course, my favorite twine from The Twinery
Isn't he funny?! I used Under the Sea {Market St Stamps} and for the bubbled sentiment I used Shout it Out {Our Craft Lounge}.

Thanks so much for having me as a guest designer, Ruthie!! I loved creating this summer-inspired card for everyone today!

Ruthie here....

Thanks so much Angelica! Your card is darling! Aren't puffer fish the best!?!
Don't forget to go and visit Angelica's blog and leave her lots of blog love!

I hope you have a GREAT day!

Throwback Thursday Challenge w/My Creative Time

Happy Thursday!

Are you ready for a new Throwback Thursday Challenge?

This weeks challenge is use an older cartridge of your choice, you need to make a Christmas project and you must to incorporate "material" on your project; so you can include lace, fabric, felt, or any other type of material.

If you participate in this challenge you will have the opportunity to win the "All Around Christmas" stamp set.

I made a card.
This card totally makes me LOL. I was trying to make him look like the dog from "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas", but I ended up "jazzing" him up a bit, that is where is zebra print flannel saddle came in. :)
I used the Lettering Delights SVG set called, Feliz Navi Dog. It's the cutest set, especially if you love dogs. The papers are from Papertry Ink and Coredinations.
I used My Creative Time's stamp set called "All Around Christmas". I cut the round "Santa's Little Helper" stamp apart so that I could create a stamped boarder all around the edge of my card. Since the stamps are cling stamps, it will "cling" easily back together and will stamp perfectly the next time I use it.  His saddle is a piece of zebra print flannel, that I edged with some silver stickels.

If you want to check out the rest of the Throwback Thursday Challenge projects click here to go to Emma's blog. The deadline for this challenge is Wed, August 3rd.

Don't forget the winner of the challenge will receive a set of  "All Around Christmas" stamps!

I Hope you have a wonderful day!

Fun in the Sun!

Happy Tuesday!

I have a super quick post/card for you today.

It's a shaped card. I used a luggage bag from the Lettering Delights, svg file called Soak Up the Sun. I created a shadow layer around it and then welded two of them together, to get the base of the card.
The papers are from Cosmo Cicket, Papertrey Ink, and Bazzil.
The stamp is from Emma's set called, Have Fun in the Sun.

Also... I forgot to announce the winner for the BFF blog hop.
The winner is....

Hats Fit for Tea!

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I spent it working on projects for my blog and helping my bestie work on several projects, for an event she has this week.

A couple weeks ago Cloud9 released the funnest svg set called, Mad Tea Party. **This svg set is no longer sold** I found a similar one here.  I fell in love with it right away... I mean who doesn't love Alice in Wonderland and the mad hatter tea parties, or nay type of tea party for that matter?
I knew right away I wanted to make the top hat!
I used papers from DCWV Blossom Collection for both hats. I love the bright colors and patterns in this collection!
With this hat, I ruffled some plaid paper around the brim, added the boa, a few feathers, and made the rolled rose that I hot glued to the front.

Here are a few more views.
I just LOVE rolled roses. There so easy to make and are so pretty!

I loved the pink hat so much, I decided to make a blue one too!

I added white 6" tulle around the brim and then tied a bow at the back.
This is my messy version of the posie flower. I also sprayed both hats with smooch spritz, they are super sparkly and glittery. Unfortunately, you can't really see the sparkle in the photos.

Here are the sizes that I used, for both hats:
Brim: 9.0405 Wide x 7.7820 High
Side 1: 8.0818 Wide x 5.1407 High
Side 2: 8.0284 Wide x5.4105 High
Top: 6.4467 Wide x 5.5546 High

I also need to announce the winner of the Envelope die from the My Creative Time New Release Blog Hop!

Congrats Stefeni!

Getting Scrappy Challenge!

Happy Sunday!

My sweet friend Amanda at Amanda's Crafts and More, hosts a challenge every Sunday called Getting Scrappy. She asked if I would be a guest designer this week and of course I said yes.

This weeks challenge is a Christmas in July layout challenge.
When it comes to layouts, I like to keep them super simple.
I always use foam mounting tape under at least one photo so that I can have a hidden journaling tag. Here is a better example of that.
The papers are Cosmo Cricket and Papertrey Ink.

Now hop on over to Amanda's blog and see what the rest of the design team has created!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

If you have arrived from Kate's blog then you are on the right track. If you would like to start at the beginning click here to go to Emma's blog.

Emma has released 4 fabulous new stamps sets and 4 new dies!
My card today was created with the Happy Mail stamp set and the envelope die.
The elephant is a svg from a Lettering Delights set called, Love Pets.  I created a shadow layer around her and welded two of them together to form the base of the card.
The papers are from Papertrey Ink and Coredinations.
Her eyes are from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-754 Critter Faces SET A Medium. I masked off the mouth on the stamp, becasue all I needed were her eyes. The envelope was cut with the new "Embossed Envelope" die and then stamped with stamps from the "Happy Mail" stamp set.

Here are photos of the stamp set and the die that I used.
