Basket full of Love

Happy Friday!!!

Today is my day over on the Timeless Time blog and I made a cute spring card. When I saw this bunny svg, I knew I had to make a card with her.
1-1-1
Directions:
Open bunny file and size to 3.5” tall, cut, and assemble. Stamp face stamp and color in. Cut base of card out of Kraft, 3.5” x 9.5”, score at 4.75”.  Inset pieces measure 3 1/4” x 3 5/8” and 3” x 3 3/8”.  Attach inset pieces and then bunny to card with foam tape. Stamp sentiment at center bottom of card and wrap and then tie timeless twine between sentiment and framed piece.

I am not sure why the twine looks so much lighter/almost red in the photo.  Anyway, the Raspberry Pink twine matches the pink of the flower perfectly in real life.

Scrappy Monday!

Happy Monday!!

I have another scrap page for you today. This is Levi's 7th month pages. I still need to do the Christmas photos, but I had enough that I am going to do another two page spread for those.
10-10
I don't know if I am getting any faster at this or not. I does feel good to get them completed though and it will feel even better to get the pages into the album. I just need to find the color I want.

Whatever Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!

Today is "Whatever" Wednesday on the My Creative Time blog.
5-5
I found these HUGE peeps at WalMart. I am not a peeps fan, but I do know a couple people who are and they're so fun... so I put a box in my cart. They fit perfectly inside these treat bags that I found at Mike's. I made the topper with the Treat Slider Box DieI used the scalloped piece of the die set and cut it so that it only had 7 scallops. Then I scored it down the middle and folded it in half, this creates the treat topper. I also ran them through a embossing folder. Lastly, I decorated them with some ribbon and tags.

Tag it Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday!!!!

Today is "Tag it Tuesday" on the My Creative Time blog.
1-1
I've been wanting to try this vellum overlay technique for awhile now. I just wish that I would have had green embossing powder. I had to use ink instead, which turned out ok... I think the embossing would have stood out more.

Scrappy Monday

Happy Monday!!!

I'm here to report that... I am still on track, with my my goal, of getting Levi's album up to date by his 1st birthday. Month eight is complete! Woohoo!
1-1
It went a little faster this week, I spent a lot less time moving photos around. I decided to keep my 3x4 "month" journaling card the same for each month, I thought it would help to bring some consistency to the album.

Happy Pi Day!

Happy Friday!!!

If you are looking for My Creative Time's, Little Bitty blog hop, click here.

Today is Pi Day , which is an annual celebration commemorating the mathematical constant Ï€ (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 (or 3/14 in the U.S. month/day date format), since 3, 1, and 4 are the three most significant digits of Ï€ in the decimal form.

So... I made a card to commemorate the day.
1-1
I found this pie svg file and decided to add the Pi symbol to the crust. I am a huge fan of cherry pie, so that is what I went with. I love the embossing  folder that I used, it reminds me of a woven fabric tablecloth. I also used the beautiful Firecracker twine. I love the combination of the aqua, white, and red together, very vintage.

I found the stamped cloud background piece in my scrap box along with the umbrella and banner die. All three had been made, but didn't make the cut for another projects. The baby was sized/cut at 2.5" tall. It just kind of came together and it makes me happy to look at it!

Inspiration Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Today is Inspiration Wednesday on the My Creative Time blog. I found this card on Pinterest, awhile ago, and fell in love with the design elements. So I took "inspiration" from it, and I made my niece a card for her birthday.
20-20
I created the circle/number in Make-the-Cut. I used two circles from the basic shape menu. I sized onat at 3.25" and the second at 3". On 3" circle, I changed the solid line edge to a stitched line. The number nine is from "storybook" font and I sized it at 2" tall. The then selected all three and under the "Align" menu I "stacked" them.  I also cut an additional circle at 3". This is the circle that I adhered the glitter to and is what I placed behind the pink number circle. It is super glittery in real life.

I was a little disappointed with the embossing powder, I used a new brand and I should have tested it first. Oh well, live and learn right?
21-21
Paper: PaperTrey Ink, My Minds Eye, & Echo Park
Glitter: Amazon, Glamour Dust Crystal
White Embossing Powder: Zing, White
Bling: Michael's $1 bin
Twine: Timeless Twine, Strawberry Cupcake

Feeling Lucky?

Happy Tuesday!!!

Next Monday is St. Patrick's Day and I have one last card to share with you. I made this last year, for a project, when I was designing for Cutting Edge Magazine. I think it's cute and thought I would share it here on my blog. The shamrock is a free svg file, that I designed and I am sharing it, see below.
5-5
Directions:
Size shamrocks to 2”wide each and mirror one so that they are facing each other. Size the label to 4.8 x 3.7 make a .1025”shadow around it, then take this shadow layer and make another shadow at .1600”. Take the largest shadow layer and weld two of the together at the top, this forms the base of the card. Cut everything out and assemble. Stamp the faces on the shamrocks, cut out the label die, and heart button die. Stamp the label with the sentiment, tie a bow out of twine, and glue it to the front of the heart button. Assemble card and add stitching around the edge with a white pen.

Scrapping the Little Things

Happy Monday!!!

Today is Scrapping the Little Things Monday over on the My Creative Time blog. I told my SIL, when each of my nephews were born, that I would make/keep their albums. She was fine with it because she's really busy and I have this paper crafts/scrapbooking blog called September Ninth Designs, so it just made sense. (wink)

Anyway, I hate to admit it, but I've kinda failed on my end of the deal. So I have set a goal to have Levi's album current/up to-date by his 1st birthday in May. Zachary's will be another story, but I do have a goal set for his album too. Right now I am focusing on Levi. So here is his 9 month page spread.
1-1
I'm not even going to lie... it took me almost the whole day to do these two pages. I kept moving stuff around and changing out photos. I am hoping the more pages I do the faster the ideas will come. Plus I need to stop trying to be such a perfectionist.
