Go Wild!

Happy Saturday! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I am going to spend today scrap'n with my bestie. I have a couple swaps, that I am working on, that I need to finish up and there are a few new Cricut carts that I need to break in! :)

Today's card, is a card that I made several months ago for Joy at Joyslife.com
If you haven't already guessed...
I LOVE her stamps!

The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" I used the DCWV Pet stack and solid Bazzil card stock. I cut the lion from the Cricut Lite, B is for Boy cart at 4". I used the Martha Stewart crown boarder punch and the Lots of Pun stamp set for the sentiment.
The golden paper on the inside of the card measures 3 3/4" x 5", the white piece measures
2 1/2" x 4 1/2" and the plaid piece measures 3" x 4 1 /2".

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #39

This weeks Challenge on the Cricut Cardz Challenge Blog was to create a card for
going back to school. The inspiration for my cards came from here and here. I decided to go a step further and make a gift box set for my sister-in-law. I made her 12 cards, envelopes, and the box to keep them in.
She is pretty traditional so I decided to go with an apple on the front of each card. The apple was cut from the Give a Hoot cart, it was cut at 3". The paper's I used and the twine are from Michael's.

The wording was printed on my printer, this video explains how to do it. The apples on the cards were cut at 2". I cut 5"x 3 3/4" pieces of cream card stock and adhered them to the inside of each card, so that it would be easy for her to write a note.
Hope on over,  play along with us, and check out/congratulate all the new design team members!

I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Howdy Partner Altered Frame

Happy Thursday!

This is a altered frame that I made for my brother and sister-in-law after their baby was born.

I purchased the wood Frame at Michael's for $2. I used paper from the DCWV Citrus stack to alter it and solid Bazzil card stock to cut out the rocking horse. He was cut from the B is for Boy Cricut Lite cart and he is cut at 4". I added a little doodling to his mane, tail and rocker for effect. The twine is from Michael's, I wrapped it twice and then tied a knot. The sentiment was from the Lots of Pun stamp set. I stamped it on white card stock and backed that with a small piece of matching red paper, also from the Citrus stack.

If you are interested in seeing how I altered the frame, please watch the video below!

Let me know if you have any questions!

The paper on the inside of the card measures  3 3/4 x 5, 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 (the bottom of this pieces was punched with the treading water punch), 2 1/2 x 4.

Cow are you?

Happy Monday morning!

Today's card was made using the Make-the-Cut software. I scanned a piece of fabric that I had in my fabric stash, converted the image in  Make-the-Cut
and then cut it out on my Cricut.

I think it turned out pretty cute, no?
If you have  Make-the-Cut and would like the cut file, email me and I will be more then happy to send it to you.

The sentiment stamp is from the "Lots of Pun" stamp set.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Cricut Cardz Challenege #38

Happy Sunday!

Whew! What a crazy week last week was! I am crossing my fingers that this week, I will have a little time to be creative on the paper side.  Wish me luck! :)

This card was my design team submission for this weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge.
This weeks challenge was to make a card using any cartridges, colors or theme you'd like.
I love this little blue bird from the Cindy Loo cart and while I was cutting him out and piecing him together, I kept thinking of the hymn, "His Eye is on the Sparrow", by Civilla D. Martin .
I am going to send this card to my great aunt Marilyn, she is 86 and can play any hymn on the piano by heart. Which is something I wish I could do...
play any hymn on the piano by heart.
Maybe someday... :)

Here are a few more views:

I hope you have had a wonderful start to what is going to be a GREAT week!
See you in a few days!

Hoo's having a Birthday?

Thank God it's Friday! What a crazy week this has been!

I made this card for my surrogate/adopted mom. When I was a little girl I spent a lot of time at her house.  It was the late 70's, early 80's and owl's were all the rage.  She collected the   owls, they were all on a huge wall unit in her living room.

Her Birthday was last week and I wanted to make her a card.
A friend of mine let me borrow her Cindy Lou cart and the owl cut on the cart,
reminded me of my most favorite of all her owls.
The card measures  4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The owl was cut at 4". The papers are from the DCWV Linen Closet designer and solid card stock stacks. The ribbon was purchased at the floral supply warehouse and the stamp is from here. The boarder punch was purchased at Michael's, it is a Martha Stewart punch.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I am planning on some serious scrappy time with my bestie!

Ssss...weet Preganancy Card

Happy Tuesday!

Today's card, I made for a friend of mine who just found out she is pregnant! :) They have been trying for quite some time and I am so excited for them. I just had to make her a card!
