Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #33

The design of this card has been in my head for awhile now... when I saw the challenge on the Peachy Keen Blog, I knew that it would be perfect for my card.
The animals were cut from the Zooballoo cart. The zebra and rhino were both cut at 2 1/2" and the giraffe was cut at 3 1/2", with the "real dial size" button on. The "Go Wild" stamp is from the Lots of Pun stamp set.

Cricut Cardz Challenege #35

This weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge was to create a Get Well card using any cartridge(s) and green, blue, black, and white only. I haven't spent much time using my Hoot and Hollar cart so I thought I would break that one out and make the card with that. I also used the "center point" button on my Cricut for the 1st time! :)
The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The pattern paper is from the DCWV Retro stack and the solid card stock is also DCWV. The ribbon is 5/8" stitched grosgrain ribbon from Michael's. The owl was cut from the Hoot and Hollar Cart at 3". The sentiment was printed on my printer and then I used the "center point" feature on my Cricut to cut the blurb around my sentiment. The blurb was cut from Create a Critter, it was cut at 2".
The inside sentiment pieces measure 3 3/4" x 5" and 3 1/4" x 4 1/2". The flower was also cut from the Hoot and Hollar cart at 1 1/4".

I hope you have a wonderful day!

This is a card I created for this weeks challenge on the Bitten by the Bug2 blog. The chellenge was to create a project that is fall related that includes a Cricut cut and a stamp of some sort.
This is what I came up with.

I cut the pumpkin from the Mini Monsters Cricut cart.
It was cut at 3 1/2".
The stamp is from a Making Memories set that I bought last year.
I found the twine in the bead section at Michael's.

Christmas in July Challenge #4

So... for the last three weeks I have tried my best to play along with Mary's Christmas in July Challenge on Cards TV . Tried, meaning that I  made a card each week but was never able to get it posted in time. :(  This week I actually made it, with a day to spare.
So with out wasting anymore time... here is my card! :)
This weeks challenge was to design a card with a Christmas tree. I use the tree from the Holiday Cheer cart. It was cut at 3 1/2". I just LOVE the retro feel of the tree. The papers are from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses line and then I also had some coordinating shimmer Bazzil card stock.
I used silver ink to ink the edges and for the "Celebrate" sentiment.
The sentiment stamp was purchased from here.

Whew! Just in time! Wish me luck! :)

Make sure to check back by tomorrow!

Welcome Card

Happy Friday!
Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am!
Today's card was a special request. A good friend of mine, has new neighbors moving into the house next door. She wanted them to have a special welcome and so she made up a HUGE beautiful gift basket. That's were my card comes in!

Did you know that the Pineapple is a considered the symbol of hospitality? Well it is! There are a long list of stories and reasons why, but the story below is by far my most favorite.

fancy dish number 2 In larger, well-to-do homes, the dining room doors were kept closed to heighten visitors' suspense about the table being readied on the other side. At the appointed moment, and with the maximum amount of pomp and drama, the doors were flung open to reveal the evening's main event. Visitors confronted with pineapple-topped food displays felt particularly honored by a hostess who obviously spared no expense to ensure her guests' dining pleasure

In this manner, the fruit which was the visual keystone of the feast naturally came to symbolize the high spirits of the social events themselves; the image of the pineapple coming to express the sense of welcome, good cheer, human warmth and family affection inherent to such gracious home gatherings.

So on to the card!
The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The paper is from Cosmo Cricket's, Garden Variety and Material Girl stacks. The solid card stock is DCWV. The Pineapple was cut from the Block Party cart at 4 1/2". The "Welcome" was printed on white card stock and cut to 1 5/8" x 1/2". It was tied on with green and white twine that I purchased from here.

The inside sentiment pieces measure 3 3/4" x 5", 4 1/4" x 1", and 4 1/4" x 3/4".

I hope you have a wonderful day!

I made this card for a friend who is having a baby girl. I think this little elephant from the Zooballo cart is so sweet.

The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The patterned paper is from the DCWV Nana's Kitchen paper stack. The solid card stock is Bazzil. The Elephant was cut at 3 1/2". I used the Martha Stewart scallop boarder punch and 5/8" white sheer ribbon. The pink flowers and blue bling are both from Michael's.

The inside sentiment pieces measure 3 3/4" x 5", 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", 2 3/4" x 4".

I hope you have a wonderful day!

"Girly Affair"

I had a little free time yesterday and decided to play along with Made by Momo's  Tuesday's Challenge. This weeks challenge was to make a card or layout that is "super girly". When I saw Momo's challenge I was so excited because it reminded me of a super cute cut that I purchased a couple weeks ago.
The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used the DCWV All about Girl's stack and the coordinating solid paper stack . The top note shape was cut from the Once Upon a Princess cart, it is one of the tag shapes turned onto it's side, it was cut at 4". The "Spa Girl" was cut at 4 1/2", I used Make-the-Cut and my Cricut to cut her out. I also added three small pearls to her neck... cause every girl knows, it's important to look your best...even at the spa. :)
 The inside sentiment pieces measure 3 3/4" x 5", 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", and 2 3/4" x 4".
The cucumbers were cut at 1" each.

I think I am going to make this card in pink next!

I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Each box contains four cards and envelopes. The cards measure 3" x 3". I cut the watermelon slice at 2" and added glossy accents on the seeds, just like on the belly band. The black and white twine was purchased from here. The sentiment stamp is from here.

Pawsatively Purrfect!

Truthfully, I probably would have never even glanced at the Cricut Lite "Chore Chart" cartridge. I had no interest until a friend of mine bought it to make chore charts for her kids,  as soon as I saw the dog and cat, I feel in love. It's actually a really great cart, even if you never use the chore chart part. There are a TON of really great cuts, in fact I think I have used it more then my friend has! :) You can see the dog card that I made here.
The card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The paper is from the DCWV Groovy paper stack and I also used Bazzil paper for the solid card stock. The cat and circle were cut from the Cricut Lite Chore Chart cart at 3 1/2". The rick rack piece was cut from the Songbird cart at 1".The silver brads are from Michael's and the sentiment stamp is from the Lots of Pun stamp set.
The sentiment pieces on the inside of the card measure, 3 3/4" X 5" and 4 1/2" X 3 1/4".
The yarn cut is from the Create a critter cart, it was cut at 1".

I hope eveyone had a wonderful weekend!
