3-D Wednesday

Happy Halloween!

Today is 3-d Wednesday on the My Creative Time blog. We were asked to create a 3-d card. So since it's Halloween, I thought I should make one last Halloween card... until next year.
This darling little witch bear is from Scrapping Bug Designs and I found this fun pop-up slider card svg from SugarGem. The pop-up slider card was really easy to cut out and assemble. Lenae at SugarGem has a great video tutorial for this svg file, on her blog, showing how to put it together.
Isn't this a fun card!?!

Designer's Challenge MCT

Welcome to Designer Challenge Thursday! Today just happens to be my day, to pick the challenge. I thought it would be fun to make a large decorative tag. You can create whatever you want, as long as your tag measures 4"x 6" or larger. You also need to incorporate My Creative Time's stamps or dies in some way.

I created a Christmas Tag.
My tag measures 6"x 6". The wreath is sized to 5.2720 x 5.1212.  The banner with the sentiment measures 7/8" x 5" finished.

My Creative Time Halloween Blog Hop - Day 2

Happy Friday!

Welcome to day two of the My Creative Time's Halloween blog hop! If you have arrived from Rosy's blog, then you are on the right track, if you would like to start at the beginning, click here.

I made a witches hat, hat box.
I have seen a lot of different hat box ideas and I thought it might be fun to try and make one. The box is 4" in diameter and 3" tall,  I found it at Michael's in wood/paper mache isle. I covered it with paper, sanded, and then inked the edges with black ink. I cut the hat out with a svg file and then added the streamer material and fibers. The hat was cut out at 11.3" x 9.8".
The rosette measures 2 1/2" in diameter. The scalloped circle is a MCT die and the sentiment is from MCT as well.
Paper:
 4" Paper Mache' Box: Michael's
Party Hat svg: SVG Cuts, Happy Brithday to you
Black Streamer: WalMart
Silver Fiber: Making Memories,
Scalloped Circle Die: My Creative Time, Scallop & Stitched Circle Die
Sentiment: My Creative Time,  Mixed Holiday

Aren't these so cute! They were made with My Creative Time's Scallop & Stitched Circle Die and her All Around Halloween stamp set. All of the rest of the supplies are listed below and there is also a tutorial showing how to make them.

Halloween Crackers

Happy Wednesday!

Today is 3-d Wednesday on the My Creative Time blog. I just love 3-d day don't you?  We were asked to "alter" something and I have all these toilet paper rolls laying around. So, I thought it would be fun to make some Halloween Crackers.

So... I whipped up these babies.
I love making these for holiday's and as party favors for special occasions. They don't "explode" like the real thing, but they are still just as much fun to open. You can fill them with anything, (well, anything that fits inside the roll) the possibles are endless.

So fun, right!?!
Papers:
Tissue Paper: Party City
Dies & Stamps: My Creative Time: Fancy Frame Stamp & Die, Curly Label Die, Treats for My Sweet
Black and White Twine: Timeless Twine
Black, White and Orange Twine: Cakes and Kids Too
Edge punches: Fiskars, Scallop and In Stitches

Here's a tutorial showing how to make them.

These are really easy to make and would be a perfect project to make with kids.
Not as much fun at candy, but still really cute, right?

I made a video tutorial below, showing you step by step how they are made.
