You Rule!

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend?

The weather here in southern California was beautiful. We decided to take a last minute trip up to Disneyland. We normally go in December or January, it's much less crowded during that time of year and we love to see it decorated for the holidays. Plus each night at 10pm, they make it snow on Main St. and they light up the castle with twinkly lights. It's so beautiful! It was pretty busy, but we had lots of fun.
 Especially, in Toon Town!

So next week is "Teacher Appreciation Week" and Tuesday, May 8th, is "Teacher Appreciation Day". I thought this week would be a perfect week to share some fun teacher gifts/cards. It's gives you a little time to plan, if you have a special teacher, or two, in your life.

Today's project is a quick card.
I got the idea for this card from one of Lettering Delights Cut-it-Sets, called Pop School. I used a rectangle from Make-the-Cut's free shapes. I sized it at 2 1/2" x 5". Then I created a shadow around it, and welded two of them together to form the base of the card. Overall size of the card is:10.5" x 2.8038".  I used the same font as the Pop School cut and sized each number to .5770" high. I eyeballed their spacing/placement on the card.
I papers I used are from PaperTrey, Core'dinations, and Recollections. The red and white twine is from Trendy Twine.
The "You Rule" stamp is from Jaded Blossom's "Teacher Appreciation" stamp set.

The rulers sweet face was made with Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment and the PK-150 Accessories ONE Assortment for the glasses.  I also used Mod Podge's Dimensional Magic, to add dimension, on the lenses of her glasses. I have a tendency to be impatient and I didn't wait long enough for the dimensional magic to dry.  So if you look closely you can see that there are "cracks/scratches" on each of the lenses. I tired... :)

I also wanted to tell you about a couple of blog hops that I am in this week. The first one is on Wednesday, it is for my friend Jamie's "1st blogaversary"! I hope you will join us for some inspiration and fun!
You can find out more info here.

I am also in a second hop on Friday! This one I am co-hosting with my friend Candace. We are both super excited about this hop! You are not going to believe how fun all the projects are!

Bug Me Anytime!

Happy Wednesday!

Today is my day over at the Jaded Blossom blog.

I made this sweet little shaped card.
The lady bug cut is from Treasure Box Designs, she was a freebie cut from March. Each week, on Tuesday, Treasure Box Designs has a new freebie on their blog.  I created the base of the card with a oval from the Make-the-Cut basic shapes library. I created a shadow layer around the base and then took those two of the shadow pieces and welded them together at the top, to form the base of the card.  Everything was designed in Make-the-Cut  and then cut out on with Ecraft.
The papers I used are from PaperTrey Ink, Core'dinations, Bazzill, and Creative Imaginations. The black and white twine is from The Twinery.
My sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's new stamp set called, Bug-a-Boo. The tag was made with the flag die from Jaded Blossom. Her sweet little face stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment.

Here is a link to this weeks Treasure Box freebie!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Mail

Happy Friday!

Don't you just love it when you go to your mail box and you find "happy mail"? I do! In fact, I don't think I could ever get sick of getting happy mail.
The umbrella cut is from Lettering Delights, Hi Dee Ho Neighbor svg set. I found the stamp shape in the Make-the-Cut free online library. I welded two of them together, at the top, to form the base of the card. Everything was designed in Make-the-Cut and then cut out on my Ecraft.
The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, Coredinations, and Bella Blvd.
The "Happy Mail" sentiment is from My Creative Time's, Happy Mail stamp set.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

All Star Coach

Happy Tuesday!

You might have already seen this cute little dispenser box, it was featured in last weeks My Scrap Chick's newsletter. I also made a few others you can see them here. I thought I would share it too, just in case you hadn't seen it.

This one is for an All Star Coach
(That is why it is filled with Starburst candies.)
This box is the new Dispenser Box file from My Scrap Chick. I opened the file in Make-the-Cut and sized it to 11.0122 (w) x 9.0689 (h).  Everything was cut on my Ecraft.

Here it is closed.
The papers are from DCWV's All About Boy's stack, and PaperTrey Ink. The twine is from Trendy Twine.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Keep Smiling!

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? It was rainy and yucky here in So. Cal. I had lots on my agenda, but I was able to fit in some crafty time last night.

This is about how my Saturday looked, as I drove around town trying to get all my errands done.
The umbrella cut is from Lettering Delights, Right as Rain svg set. I created the base shape of the card with a rectangle and some circles, from the basic shape menu in Make-the-Cut.  I welded everything together, then took two of them, and welded them together at the top to form the base of the card.  Everything was designed in Make-the-Cut and then cut out on my Ecraft.
The paper are from PaperTrey Ink, Coredinations, and Bella Blvd. The twine is from Trendy Twine.
Both the tag and the sentiment are from the Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set from My Creative Time.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Jaded Blossom New Release Blog Hop - April!

Happy Friday!

Welcome to the Jaded Blossom New Release blog hop! How fun is this release?!? If you have arrived from Abby's blog then you are on the right track, if you want to start at the beginning, click here.

I created two projects for today's hop, both showcase the new "Teacher Appreciation" stamp set. I am also showcasing/sneak peaking two new svg sets by My Scrap Chick!

This first project is a pour box that is filled to the brim with sweet tarts. It could be made and given to a teacher, teacher's assistant, teacher's aide, or a tutor!

So like I said, the Pour Box is a new file from My Scrap Chick. I opened the file in Make-the-Cut and sized it to 9.7944 (w) x 6.7808 (h). The apple is from the Kawaii Fruitstand set and it was sized at 2.5 (h). I welded the apple to the front of the box and created a frame layer around the apple. The apple frame layer piece measures, 2.5619 (w) x 2.6413 (h). Everything was cut on my Ecraft.
The Papers are from Imaginese and Coredinations.
I used the Jaded Blossom Flag die (small one) and the sentiment is from the new Teacher Appreciation set.

My second project was made with the same teacher stamp set. It's a dispenser box that  holds tea bags.

This box is the new Dispenser Box file from My Scrap Chick. I opened the file in Make-the-Cut and sized it to 11.0122 (w) x 9.0689 (h).  Everything was cut on my Ecraft.
I used the Jaded Blossom Flag die (small one) and the sentiment is from the new Teacher Appreciation set.
The papers are from DCWV, Bazzill, and Bella blvd.

The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, Coredinations, and We R Memory Keepers, Love Struck collection.
