Cricut Cardz Challenge #31

This is the card I created for this weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge. This weeks theme is 4th of July. Every year since I was a little girl we have always gone to the county fair on the 4th and one of the things that we always do, at the fair, is watch the rodeo. When I saw this little cow girl in the Once Upon a Princess cart, I knew just what I wanted to do!
The card is a standard A2 size, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The papers are from the DCWV Summer Dreams designer paper and card stock stacks. I printed the sentiment on my computer/printer. The princess was cut at 4" and I traded out her cow girl hat with the uncle Sam hat from the Independence Day cart. The Uncle Sam hat was cut at 1 1/4". I inked around all the edges with coordinating inks.
The sentiment pieces on the inside of the card measure 3 3/4" x 5", 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", and 2 3/4" x 4". I cut the Uncle Sam hat at 1 1/4". I inked around all the edges with coordinating inks.

Bee Mine...

Yeah... I know it is not anywhere close to Valentine's day but I got the Paisley cart a few weeks ago and I just had to cut this sweet little bee. Which meant that he needed a home, so I just had to make a card. :)

The card measures 3" x 3". I used the DCWV Citrus Stack, the Glitter Stack, and coordinating Bazzil card stock for the bee. I cut the bee, from the Paisley cart, at 2 1/4". I replaced the flower with a 1/2 heart that I cut from the same cart. The "Bee Mine" stamp is from the Lots of Pun stamp set.

The paper on the inside of the card measures, 2 3/4" square, 2 1/2" square, and 2 1/4" square. The flower is the one that cuts out with the bee. I placed it inside, since I cut a heart for the bee instead.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

New Baby Card

Happy Monday! I hope you had wonderful weekend!
When I first saw this sweet little elephant on the Sugar and Spice Lite cart, I couldn't stand it!
This card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used the K and Company paper stack and the DCWV "all about girl's" solid paper stack. The elephant was cut from the Sugar and Spice lite cart at 3". The blue dot paper was cut at 2" x 4 1/4", the pink stripe was cut at 4 1/2" x 4 1/2", and punched along the left side with the Martha Stewart "crown" edge punch. The blue star strip is a coordinating K and Company, sticker boarder.
 The inside papers measure 3 3/4" x 5", 3 1/4" x 4 1/2, and 2 3/4" 4". I added more of the coordinating sticker boarder along the bottom.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #31

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are having a blessed day!

This will be my fourth and final challenge for this week! Whew! I am worn out!  This weeks challenge on the  Peachy Keen Blog, was to create a card from the this sketch.  This card is what I came up with.
My card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used the DCWV Retro paper stack and DCWV solid textured paper. My sweet little owl was cut from the Hoot and Hollar, Cricut Lite cart. She was cut at 3 1/2". The white 5/8" grosgrain ribbon is from my stash (probably purchased at Michael's) and the pink buttons are Making Memories. I found them in the $1 bins at Michael's.
I printed the inside sentiment on my printer. The yellow paper measures 3 3/4" x 5", the pink is 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", and the white piece was cut at 2 3/4" x 4".

I just have to say that I LOVE the Hoot and Hollar cart!

1st Week of Summer Challenge

WooHoo! It's Saturday! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

So... this is my third challenge for this week. I decided to play along with Craft Junkie Too's, 1st week of summer challenge. This is what I came up with.

I just love this little pig from the Create a Critter cart! I decided to give her a floral sarong and a small pink flower for her ear. She even has a coordinating umbrella and beach chair...that's how us CA surfer girls roll. :)

The card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used Craft card stock from here.  The pattern papers are from the K and Company, Greenhouse stack and all the solid card stock is Bazzil. I cut the pig from the Create a Critter cart at 3 1/2". The flower was cut at 3 1/2" and it can be found on the page with the zebra. The flower is suppose to be an accent for the zebra, so if you keep your dial size at 3 1/2", it should cut in correct proportion for the pig too. Everything else was cut from the Life's a Beach cart. The umbrella was cut at 3" and the chair at 2". I added a small piece of white ribbon to the pigs sarong and a little coordinating ink for definition.
The paper on the inside of the card is also from the K and Company, Greenhouse stack. It was cut 3 3/4" x 5" and the white sentiment piece was cut 3 1/4" x 4 1/2". The flip flops were cut from the Life's a Beach cart at 1".

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Bugs, Bees, Ants, and Lady bugs!

Happy Friday everyone!

I am soooo looking forward to the weekend! I have a new Cricut Lite cart and I cannot wait to play with it! :)

Anyway.... on the the next challenge! Today's card was made for this weeks challenge over at the Paper Playtime blog. Janis's challenge was to make a Card, Layout, 3-D Project or any other Paper Craft Project with the theme BUGS, BEES, ANTS, OR LADYBUGS. This is what I came up with.

For the base of my card I used craft card stock, it measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used the  DCWV The Guy Stack and solid Bazzil card stock. The sweet little inch worm was cut from the Cricut Lite "B is for Boy" cart, he was cut at 3 1/2". The plaid piece of paper was cut at 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" and punched down one edge with the Friskars, Treading Water boarder punch. Once that was punched I wrapped it twice with twine and tied a knot. Then I added foam tape and adhered it to the front of the card. The sentiment half circle was cut from the Straight From the Nest cart, at 1 3/4". I use the Lots of Pun  stamp set for the stamped sentiment... and of course all the edges were inked with coordinating inks! :)

The papers on the inside of the card measure  3 3/4" x 5", 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", and 2 3/4" x 4".

I just LOVE how this card turned out! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Spots and Dots!

Happy Thursday!

I had a little free time this week and decided to play along with a couple of the blog challenges. This card was made for the "Spots and Dots"  challenge over on Made by Momo's blog

I have been wanting a reason to cut this cute little giraffe for awhile now and this challenge gave me a reason! The card measures 4" x 4". The paper I used, was from the  Cosmo Circket - Garden Variety mini deck. I also used 3 different colors of Bazzil card stock, for the sweet little giraffe. He was cut from the Create a Critter cart, at 3". The boarder punch is the EK Sucess - dotted scallop punch. The red ribbon is from my ribbon stash.
The sentiment pieces on the inside of the card were cut at 3 1/2" square, 3" square, and 2 1/2" square.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #30

This is my card for this weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge. I used the Sweethearts and Storybook Cricut carts.
The papers I used were from the DCWV "All about Girl's" designer paper and card stock stacks. (LOVE those stacks btw) The card measures 6 x 4 1/4. The top note shape was cut from the Storybook cart at 3 3/4". The birds and heart were cut from the Sweethearts cart at 2". The bird only faces in one direction so after you cut the 1st bird, then use the "flip" button and cut the second one. Then you will have the two love birds facing each other. The string is blue and white bakers twine. I inked around all the edges with coordinating inks.

The sentiment piece on the inside of the card was cut at 5 1/2" x 3 3/4". The top note shapes were again, cut from the Storybook cart at 3 1/4" and 2 3/4". I inked around all the edges with coordinating inks. See the video below for more information.

B is not just for boy...

I have been having a lot of fun with the new Cricut lite carts. I especially like the B is for Boy cart. I just love all cute toy cuts. When I saw this little stack toy, I just knew what I wanted to do.
The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". I used the DCWV "All about Girls" designer paper and card stock stacks. I cut the stacking toy at 3" in "girlie" colors. I also use a Inkadinkado, Baby Boy (97605) stamp set for the, welcome baby, sentiment. I stamped it with Versamark and then used white embossing powder.
The sentiment pieces on the inside of the card measure, 3 3/4" x 3 3/4", 3" x 3", and 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". I cut the ball from the Sugar and Spice Cricut cart. I cut it at 1 1/4". See the video below for more info.

Sock Monkey Love

I had so much fun this weekend playing with the new Sugar and Spice and B is for Boy Cricut Lite carts. I instantly fell in LOVE with the sock monkey's and knew that I wanted to make a card.
The card is a standard A2 size,  4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I cut the sock monkeys at 3 1/4" eac. The heart was cut from the Doodlecharms cart at 3/4"and embossed with the swiss dots cuddlebug folder. The turquoise stripes were cut at 1 3/4" x 5", they were also embossed, but I am not sure what the name of the folder is. I inked around all the edges.
The heart was cut at 1 1/2" and embossed. The layers measure 3 3/4 x 5, 4 1/2 x 3 1/4, and 2 3/4 x 4. I printed the sentiment on my computer/printer. The middle turquoise paper was also embossed. I inked around all the edges.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #29

This card was my design team submission for last weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge.

The challenge was to create a card with a vacation theme. I had  a few ideas running around in my head and then I remembered this and this, (instant inspiration!) and I just knew what I wanted to do. I have been following Jenny's blog for 4 or 5 years now and I just LOVE everything she does! If you shop at Michael's you may have even been lucky enough to pick up some of her design's, on small cards, in the dollar bins. Here is her online store!

Sooo back to my card... The size is 4.25 x 5.5. I used the DCWV Summer Dreams designer paper and card stock paper stacks. I cut the Ferris wheel cut from the Summer Vacation cart. It was cut at 6 inches, out of pink DCWV glitter paper. I used foam tape to mount it to the card, for a little added dimension.

For the inside of the card I used the coordinating papers from the DCWV Summer Dreams card stock stack. The ticket was also cut from the Summer Vacation cart. It was cut at 3/4" and the backed with a small piece of blue card stock so that the "ticket" would stand out.
Now head on over to the Cricut Cardz Challenge Blog and play along with us! You never know, you may win this weeks drawing!

Oh! Please don't forget to visit  Jenny too! :)

I will try to get a video posted for this card sometime on Monday!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #28

Here is my card for this weeks  Cricut Cardz Challenge. This week we had to design a card using shoes. So this is my ode to summer. No more rain (well at least where I live)...it's all about walking around in bare feet, feeling the grass or sand between your toes!

I used the Give a Hoot cart for the grass and flowers, the Paisley cart supplied the rain boots, and the From My Garden cart supplied all the bugs and sign. I used  black Doodlebug letter rub on's for the word "Flowers" on my sign.  The card measure's 4 x 9.5 inches. The inside say's "Thinking of You", both the butterfly and the "thinking of you" were cut from the Walk in my Garden Cart.

Sorry, there is no video this week. :( My camera died last week and I am saving up for the camera that I really want. I do have photos though! :)
