Happy Saturday!!!

Today is the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons & My Creative Time Co-Blog Hop! If you have arrived from Nanne's blog, then you are on the right track.  If you just stumbled upon this post and would like to start from the beginning, please click hereBoth teams have joined together to create beautiful projects featuring different Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files & My Creative Time stamp sets.

I made a shaped card with one of Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons newest files.
IMG_9509~1.jpg
I sized the mask to 4.7" tall in MTC. Then I created a shadow layer that was .14" and then welded two of them together to form the base of the card. Once I got all the piecing put together and attached to the base piece, I added the sequins. I just placed them randomly, I wanted them to look like confetti that had fallen onto the mask. Lastly, I created and added the banner with the sentiment.

Swatch Book Idea

Happy Friday!!!

Today is my dt day over on the Timeless Twine blog. The last month or so, I have been re-doing my craft/studio space. After a thorough clean, fresh paint, and some new pieces of furniture, I have put most of my "things" back. I did purge a large amount of stuff, but because my room serves as my work studio, sewing room, and paper crafting space, that means that I have to be really creative when it comes to space planning and organization.  In the next couple weeks I will share more about my space, but today I am going to show you a quick and easy way to keep track of products that you already have.

I have most of the Color Shine sprays by Heidi Swapp. I love them and use them often, but I always forget what they look like once they are dry. I thought it would be a good idea to make a swatch book of all the colors that I have, so it could be used as an quick/easy reference when I am working on projects.
5-5
I grabbed some of the small white tags from the Timeless Twine Store, wrote a Color Shine color name on the back of each one, and then sprayed the front with that Color Shine color. Once they were dry I strung them together with a bit of Tuxedo Twine. Now I have something to reference the colors by while I am working on projects. I can also grab it and take it with me to the store, to make sure I don't purchase a color that I already have.

This idea would work with ink pad colors as well.  6-6
Products used:
Color Shine: Heidi Swapp, Michael's
Timeless Twine: Small Tags
I will show you another organizational tip next week!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Thinking of You

Happy Wednesday!!!

So... today is inspiration Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. I found this card that Amy made on Pinterest awhile back and pinned it. I really like the simplicity of the design.
1-1
I have a ton of Washi tape and of course none of it worked with the papers I chose, which were all from my scrap bin, so I ended up using a strip of paper along the left side. I also added a few more mini hearts inside the jar, prior to mailing it out.  You can never add to much love. :)

Paper: PaperTrey Ink & My Minds Eye
Twine: Timeless Twine, Olive Green

Metal Adaptor Plate

Thrifty Thursday

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is "Thrifty Thursday" over on the My Creative Time blog. I needed to make a quick card for a friend so I thought I would play along.
17-17
Everything on the card came from my "extra's" boxes. I have a box full of die cuts, that I cut but never used. I found the pocket and heart shapes, and then while looking through my scrap paper box, I got lucky and found the cloud background and the matching yellow to the pocket. After that, the card came together fairly quickly. I even used Tuesday's "double stamp" technique again too!

I stamped the inside of the card with the sentiment "A pocket full of love, just for you!" from the  Fun Pockets Stamp Set
16-16
Paper: Recollections & Core'Dinations
Twine: Timeless Twine, Cherry Red

Whatever Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Today is "Whatever Wednesday" day on the My Creative Time blog. Last Friday, I created this gift box, from a ready made box that I purchased from the Timeless Twine store. I thought I would make another one with a birthday theme.
40-40
I used one of the Square Stitched Goody Dies this time, to make the window in the front of the box. I also left the box it's original kraft, filled it with Kisses, and added some sequins to the outside... kind of reminds me of confetti. The Teeny Tag Layering Dies
are the perfectly size for this box.
42-42
Paper: Core'dinations
Box: Timeless Twine Store, Kraft Pinstriped Boxes
Twine: Timeless Twine, Aqua Blue & Red Twine
Sequins: Neat and Tangled, Winter Wonderland
Kisses: Target

Try me Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today is "Try me Tuesday" over on the My Creative Time blog. The "try me" for today is to use a "double" stamping technique. Basically, you stamp over an already stamped background. Here is a video explaining it in more depth if you are interested.
22-22
Believe it or not, I am not a "stamper", I like sentiments and peachy faces, but I have never been a huge fan of "stamping" and coloring in... blah blah blah. Don't get me wrong, I like when other people do it, admire that other people do it and are amazing at it, but it's just not my thing. It did however, feel good to stretch my comfort zone a bit... even though my card is really simple, I like how it turned out. I think I may even use this technique again.

Made in Minutes

Happy Monday!!!

Today is "Make it in Minutes" day on the My Creative Time blog. Which means that we have to make our project in minutes. I've had the idea of this card rolling around in my head for a couple weeks.
25-25
It came together pretty quickly. I added the red sequins at the last minute to pull your eye down and to add a bit of balance to the red ribbon. A quick tip... if you want to recreate the embossing/cut out effect, cut the die/heart out first and then emboss the paper. If you do it the other way around, you will smash the embossing as you cut out the die.
27-27
Paper: PaperTrey Ink and Core'dinations
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up!, Woodgrain Embossing Folder
Crinkle Ribbon: Etsy
Twine: Timeless Twine, Tuxedo

Bear Hugs are Best!

Happy Friday!!!

Today is my dt day on the Timeless Twine blog!
I have a fun Valentine's themed treat box to share with you today.
10-10
The Timeless Twine Store has these sweet little kraft boxes for sale. I took one and misted it with some Color shine to add some color. It's really sparkley and glittery... you just can't see it very well in the photo. Then I took the medium heart die from My Creative Time's Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO Dies and cut a heart window in the front panel of the box. I love these new dies! Love that they have stitching on the positive and negative edges, so that you can make windows with them and still get stitching around the edge of the cut. Once I had my window cut, I placed a small piece of clear acetate on the inside to serve as a window so that the bears wouldn't fall out. Lastly, I put my box together, filled it with teddy grahams, and decorated the top with some twine, a twine pompom, and a tag.
12-12
Box: Timeless Twine Store, Kraft Pinstriped Boxes
Sweet Cherry Color Shine: Michael's
Paper: Recollections & Core'Dinations
My Creative Time Products:
Metal Adaptor Plate
Snips (wire cutters)
Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO Dies
Square Stitched Goody Dies
Beary Special Thoughts Stamp Set

I used Timeless Twine's, Aqua Blue twine. You can find it, a ton of other colors, and lots of fun packaging in the Bella Creationz store.

Whatever Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Today is "Whatever Wednesday" over on the My Creative Time blog

I thought I would do something different today. I found this idea on Pinterest and I thought it would work perfectly with the teeny tiny heart dies in the  4x4 Journal Die + More set. So... I had some fun and did my nails for Valentine's Day!
1-1
So cute right!?!?

It was super easy, first I painted my nail with two coats of white polish (see below for info on brand). Then I took a piece of Post-It Removable Tape, you could use painters
tape too, if you don't have the Post-it tape, and the medium sized heart die from the 4x4 Journal Die + More die set and made a template. You will need to make one for each finger that you want to put a heart on. Each template can only be used once. Then place the Post-it note template on your nail, make sure you get it smooth around the edges. Paint with the red polish, wait a minute or so and then paint with a thin coat of the silver glitter. I waited about 30 seconds and then slowly removed the template. You don't want the polish to dry with the template in place, or when you remove it, it will pull off your heart. Let it completely dry and then polish with a top coat and you are finished.

Here is a close up of the mask I made with the Post-It Removable Tape. Right before I added the silver glitter polish.
