My friend Candace and I thought today would be a fun day to host a blog hop! Since there's not a whole lot out there in terms of "Star Wars" crafts, we thought it would be fun to have a blog hop to showcase some fun ideas.

I thought it would be fun to create something with fabric, since that is my 1st love.

So if I could choose to change career's and  do/be anything I wanted, it would defiantly not be a stylist/photographer for 2yr olds. I did try... :)


So I made this snazzy little number... like it?

The  R2D2 design is from Little Scraps of Heaven's Galatial Adventures Good Guy's svg set. He was sized in Make-the-Cut to 7 " and I cut the fabric on my Ecraft. The t-shirt was $4 at Wal-Mart. I had all the cotton fabric on hand but you could get 1/4 yard of each color (fat quarter's would work too), at a fabric store, and that would probably be about $5 (depending on the fabric you choose). Make sure to pre-wash everything 1st.

I used Heat N Bond, iron on adhesive to attach the fabric to the shirt. You iron the Heat N Bond to the fabric and then cut out your pattern/design with your machine. Then you peel off the paper backing and iron it onto the shirt. I also top stitched around all the pieces just to make it more durable, since it was going to be worn by a 2yr old. Lastly, I used a white fabric marker to add the detail.

I did not make a video tutorial showing how to cut the fabric with my machine, I ran out of time, but here is a good one that Denise made. If you have a machine other then an Ecraft, you can search for your machine on YouTube. I have seen/viewed videos for the Silhouette and Cricut too.

You Make My Heart Flutter...

Happy Tuesday!

I have a sneak for you today. Jaded Blossom is releasing 4 new stamps sets this Friday and I've been having lots of fun creating projects with them.

 I think this set is my favorite of the four new sets.

The butterfly is a file from Treasure Box Designs.  I created a shadow layer around the base shape and then took two of the shadow pieces and welded them together at the top, to form the base of the card.  Everything was designed in Make-the-Cut  and then cut out on with Ecraft. 

 The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, and Doodle Bugs Designs.

Her sweet face is from Peachy Keen Stamps, Cornies Assortment set. The sentiment stamp is a sneak from one of Jaded Blossom's new stamp sets being released this Friday. The Banner was made with the flag die.

Guess what? 

It's not only Jaded Blossom's new release blog hop day, but in two day's it will be the weekend! I am sooo ready.

I made these cards a couple of weeks ago and never got around to posting them. I used the same svg cut, but different sayings on each card. I kept them simple, because they have a more masculine feel.

 The sentiment on this one was printed on my printer.

The Yoda svg is from Little Scraps of Heaven's, "The Master" file. I used Make-the-Cut to size him and my Ecraft to cut him out. The Kraft colored twine is from The Twinery.

This next card I added a little stitching around the edge of the card and a sentiment from Jaded Blossom's "Nerd" stamp set.

 

 

 I think they turned out cute and they are just perfect for those "geeky" loved one's in my life.

Jaded Blossom New Release Blog Hop - February!

I am so excited about this release! All 9 of the stamps sets are so fun and just in time for all those Easter projects!

Today's project was made with my most favorite release of the month, the stamp set  is called "Cheesy Pick Ups". This sentiment set is so much fun, I see a TON of cards in my future with this stamp set!

The bear inmate is from the svg file, Wanted for Stealing Hearts by LSHD. He was cut out at 3 1/2" tall. The card base is a standard A2 size, I layered the front with coordinating papers and then added some ribbon that I purchased at Michael's. Everything was cut out with my Ecraft.

I have a fun Valentine's Day card for you today.

I got the idea for this card from something that I saw on Pinterest. Gotta love Pinterest!

R2D2 is from the Galactical Adventure Good Guys file from Little Scraps of Heaven. I used Make-the-Cut and my Ecraft to cut him out.

I printed the sentiment on my computer/printer. The papers are Coredinations and Papertrey Ink, the twine is from The Twinery.

Hooo's My Valentine?

Today is my DT day with Jaded Blossom. I made a Valentine's Day card with one of their fun stamps!

 The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, Coredinations, and BoBunny.

 

The Owl and the heart are both from the svg file, Who Loves you? by LSHD. I took one of the hears, created a shadow layer around it, and then welded two of them together to form the base of the card. Everything was cut out with my Ecraft.

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's "I Hoot You" petal.

Happy Monday!

Did you have a nice weekend? I spent most of it cleaning and organizing, I always get in cleaning spree mode right after the new year. It must have something to do with the start of a fresh new year.

Anyway, I also found a little time to get a few of my blog projects for this week completed too. This Friday is My Creative Time's new release blog hop, so all week the design team will be showing sneaks of the new stamps. I have some fun projects to share and I can't wait to show you my blog hop project!

Today's card was made with an older stamp set, but I thought the sentiment was perfect.

The seal is a svg file from Little Scraps of Heaven, file is called Sealed with a Kiss. The base of the card was made with a tag from Lettering Delights, the file is called basic tags. I created a shadow around it and then welded two of them together form the base of the card. If you would like to see how that is done, click here to see a video tutorial.

Warm Holiday Wishes

Happy Tuesday!

I am starting to work on Christmas presents and that includes cards too. My goal is to use everything that I make/post on my blog. I have several large boxes full of all my paper crafts and I need to be better about "gifting" the things that I make. 

So today's card is a Christmas card... but I like it so much, I am thinking that I may have to keep it. Ha! Oh well... all that counts is that I am tyring, right? :)

The base of the card is from the Best Witches Party Cut Its Set and the holly is from the Merry Stitchy Cut It's Set from Lettering Delights. The horse is a svg file that I purchased from Little Scraps of Heaven, called Rocking Horse. The horse comes with a heart on is back, I replaced it with the holly & berries to make it more festive. I used Make-the-Cut and the Silhouette to design and cut everything out.

 The papers are from PaperTrey Ink, DCWV, and K and Company's Yuletide Christmas stack.

The sentiment is from My Creative Time's stamp set called, Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

I also used a banner die (from the build a banner kit), turned on it's side, as a tag for the sentiment.
