"Let's Face it Friday" Challenge #5

Happy Friday Morning!

Sorry that I have been MIA this week. I had a little bit of a "craft" overload and needed to take a break. I see that people talk about loosing their mojo, which has never really happened to me. (Which, is not as great as it sounds.) Sometimes I get so many ideas, that I end up feeling overwhelmed and I have a really hard time knowing where to start or what to do first. Which in-turn overwhelms me and stresses me out. So I have found that if I take a step back and remember that crafting is suppose to be fun, not stressful... it helps. So I decided to take a couple days off. I will be back next week with a few fun projects that I can't wait to share. :)

Anyway... on to today's new "Let's Face it Friday" challenge on the PKS blog. This weeks challenge is to create an invitation for a holiday party. This could be for Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, or even just a gift opening party!

I made an invite for a cookie exchange party.
The papers are from the DCWV Tis' the Season decorative stack and the card stock stack.
I used this graphic set from littledreamerdesigns.com, I converted the cookie images in Make the Cut and cut them out on my Cricut. The red top note shape is from the Storybook cart.
I used Glossy Accents on the coolies to make them look like they have icing on them.
I think this one looks yummy! :)
Last, but defiantly not least... I used the PK 500 Snow Cuties Face Assortment for the gingerbread faces.

The winner of this weeks challenge will win the Winter Frolic cartridge!

WooHoo! Now get busy on those invites ladies!! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
I will see you on Monday with a super cute, inexpensive, and kid friendly, Thanksgiving project. :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thank Ewe Card

The card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". The papers are from the DCWV All about Girl's paper and card stock stacks. The Lamb was cut from the Sugar and Spice Cricut lite cart at 3 1/2". The top note shape was cut from the Storybook cart at 4". The pink and purple twine is Martha Stewart's bakers twine. The sentiment is from the Lots of Pun stamp set.

The inside sentiment pieces measure 3 3/4 x 5, 3 1/4 x 4 1/2, and 2 3/4 x 4. The flower was cut from the Sugar and Spice cart at 2 1/2".

Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #30

This is my card for this weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge. I used the Sweethearts and Storybook Cricut carts.
The papers I used were from the DCWV "All about Girl's" designer paper and card stock stacks. (LOVE those stacks btw) The card measures 6 x 4 1/4. The top note shape was cut from the Storybook cart at 3 3/4". The birds and heart were cut from the Sweethearts cart at 2". The bird only faces in one direction so after you cut the 1st bird, then use the "flip" button and cut the second one. Then you will have the two love birds facing each other. The string is blue and white bakers twine. I inked around all the edges with coordinating inks.

The sentiment piece on the inside of the card was cut at 5 1/2" x 3 3/4". The top note shapes were again, cut from the Storybook cart at 3 1/4" and 2 3/4". I inked around all the edges with coordinating inks. See the video below for more information.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #26

This is my design for this weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge Blog. Head on over and check out all the other wonderful cards that the design team made. I used the new DCWV Summer Dreams paper stack and card stock stack, that I got at Joanns. I love that this new stack has double sided papers. See the video below for more information about the card.

Note Cards and Gift Box

So... I love making these, they are great for gifts. I made the cards with the Storybook Cricut Cart, DCWV Spring Stack, Bazzil Card stock, and a bit of ribbon. I also give the dimensions and tell you where to score, to make the envelopes and the gift box with the Martha Stewart Score board (my #2 favorite thing). I made an error on the video... the envelopes, need to be cut at 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 and scored at 3 1/4 (not 1 1/4) on all four sides.  See the video below for more information:
