Simple Card

Happy Monday!

What a crazy busy weekend that was! I think... think I got everything finished, that was on the "must do"list. I did manage to get a couple hours of crafty time in.

I have a super easy card for you today.
I made a gift for a friend and I needed a quick card to slip into the box with it.  I really love the patterns/colors of the papers in the Reunion paper stack by My Minds Eye. It's a great stack to have, for fall projects.

WooHoo! It's Friday!!!

Today, I have another fun project that's made with Shrinky Dinks.  I got the inspiration for these fun earrings from my friend Raven at  Love 4 Stamps.  She is my Shrinky Dink guru.
As soon as I saw this Halloween Skulls cutting file, I knew I wanted to make some earrings. There is a video tutorial below showing how they're made.
How cute are these!?!

Designer's Challenge

Happy Thursday!

Today is Designer's Challenge day on the My Creative Time blog. The challenge is to create a card or layout using the colors Chocolate Brown, Gold, and Aqua. You are also to make 3 handmade flowers with bling and use them somewhere in your project.

I made a card.
The flowers were made by cutting a circle and them making a spiral cut to the center. I then rolled it in on itself and glued it to a small circle. If you are interested in seeing a video tutorial, leave me a comment below, If enough people are interested, I will make one.
I love adding a small piece of patterned paper on the inside of my cards.
Papers: PaperTrey Ink, My Mind's Eye, and Core'dinations
Pearls: Wal-Mart
Tag Die: My Creative Time, Tag Dies
Sentiment: My Creative Time, Floral Sentiments
Embossing Folder: ProvoCraft, Polka Dots

Here is a video tutorial, showing how I made the card.

3-D Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

Today is 3-d Wednesday on the My Creative Time blog. I thought it would be fun to play along today. Today's challenge was to make a home decor item.

I made some boom stick place holders.
I am not a huge fan of Halloween when it comes to decorating. I usually decorate for fall in early September.  I do have a few Halloween decorations that I place out, usually around October 1st. I saw the idea for these cute broom sticks in Country Living Magazine. Now I wish I had some Halloween dishes! Ha!
Tag die & Sentiment: My Creative Time, Just Simply Live
Bamboo Skewers: Wal-Mart

Give Thanks

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty productive.

I have a fun fall card for you today.
I just couldn't resist this sweet little bear and her pumpkin. I used the blue ribbon because the polka dot paper had a small blue dot. I really like how it looks against the pumpkin color.

Best Witches

Happy Thursday!

I have a super quick post today.
Today's project is a shaped Halloween card.
This moon/owl svg is from Scrapping Bugs Design's, Eeeek file.  I sized it at 5" and made a shadow layer around it. I welded two of the shadow layers together, at the top, to form the base of the card.

3-D Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!

Here we are at Wednesday... can you believe it? We're half way there people! Today is 3-D Wednesday on the My Creative Time blog. Emma asked us to create a 3-D project that included a button.

I made a very special tooth fairy box.
It's the perfect place to keep that precious tooth safe, until the tooth fairy shows up to claim it. Then she has a safe place to leave her "reward" in the box.
I made the tooth button with Shrinky Dink plastic. Who knew Shrinky Dink plastic could be so much fun!?! Make sure you check in next Tuesday, for Technique Tuesday, I just might show you how to make this super cute button.
Box svg: Lettering Delights, Thingamabox Collection
Tooth Button:  Lettering Delights, Dear Tooth Fairy
Shrinky Dink Plastic: Michael's
Hemp Twine: Liz's Paper Boutique
Paper: My Minds Eye, Twisted Lime Collection
Tag & Sentiment: My Creative Time,  Teeny Tag Greetings
All Around Stamp: My Creative Time,  Scalloped & Stitched Circle die, All Around Everything Stamp Set

Technique Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!

Today is another "Show Me Your Technique" Tuesday on the My Creative Time blog. I thought that I would play along today too.

I'm going to show you how I make different sized tags with the scalloped tag in the Tag Dies set. I have a video tutorial below, showing how it's done.
I've been having so much fun with the new Beary Special Thoughts sentiments set. It seems like every new svg set or Cricut cart released lately, has bears on it, so this set is addition to my sentiment stash.
Papers: PaperTrey Ink, Core'dinations, and Bella Blvd
Bear svg: Treasure Box Designs
Card Base: Artiste Cricut Cartridge
Bear Face: Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-140 Teddy Bear and Reindeer Face Parts
Tag & Sentiment: My Creative Time, Beary Special Thoughts and Tag Dies
Twine: The Twinery

Here's my video tutorial.
Please excuse what a mess I am in this video. I sprained my wrist the day before and I had a really bad cold. Plus everything kept slipping because of the heat proof mat, but you get the concept. :)
