Football Treat

IMG_2702-1
Happy Thursday!!!
Today is "Thoughtful Thursday" day on the My Creative Time blog.   I found these cute football candies at WalMart and I had to get them! I thought they would be perfect for small "Thank You" treats for coaches and/or players at the end of the football season. So came up with this fun treat.

I used the bottom of the Treat Slider Box Die for the base. I added some crinkle paper, that I made with my paper cutter and crimper.Four candy footballs fit perfectly in the box. Then I slid it into a pretzel bag. I made the banner label with the Sentiment Label Dies and the sentiment is from the Sports Sentiments Stamp SetLastly, I tied the label on with some twine.

Football Treats

Happy Wednesday!!!
Today is Make a Treat Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. I found some fun football themed M&M's at Target a couple weeks ago. I  grabbed a bag, thinking it would be fun to make some treats for the guy's game day get together. I decided to pick out all the gold and blue M&M's because we're Charger fans.

I stamped a piece of Kraft paper, randomly, with the football stamp from the Touchdown Stamp SetThen I used the tag die from the Stitched Round Tab, Arrow & Tag Dies and cut out the tags. The "I Love" sentiment came from the Sports Sentiments Stamp SetLastly, I tied the tags on with some gold & yellow twine.

3-D Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

Today is 3-d Wednesday over on the My Creative Time Blog

My best friend and her hubby are big baseball fans and they have season tickets for the Padres. I thought it would be nice to make her a "home game" calendar that she could keep on her desk at work. Something that didn't necessarily scream "Padres", but that she still wouldn't mind having on her desk.  I made sure to highlight all of the "home" games so that she could just quickly glance at it.

I was thinking these would be a great gift for parents that have kids on sports teams. They could be designed around any sport.

Make-the-Cut Tutorial!

Happy Wednesday!

Last week I made some the post-it note covers that had sports team logo's on the front of them. (click here to see that post)
Over the last week, I have been getting a lot of emails asking where I got the logo cut files. I made them, so I made a video showing how.

Lots of fun right?

Today is...

Post-it Note Holder

Happy Friday!

It's Friday! It's Friday! It's Friday! WooHoo!

I have a fun an easy project for you today, they are post-it note covers. So fun! I saw the idea at a craft fair a couple years ago and I thought they were so cute.

I have several friends who are all about sports. I converted a few team logo's in Make-the-Cut and made some sports covers. I think these are such great gifts or stocking stuffers.
Can you guess who I made the SF one for? Hmmmm.... I wonder! (wink, wink)
Here's what they look like open! These are perfect gifts that kids can make for their teacher's! They're so quick and easy and they take little very supplies. You can use stickers or even have them draw a picture on the front.
I am going to work on some college logo's next!
I made this one for my bestie's hubby. I added his name so that he could take it to work and not worry about it getting lifted from his desk. :)

Want to see how to make them?

Thanks for watching!

I hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Throwback Thursday Challenge w/My Creative Time!

Happy Thursday!

Today is the start of an all new Throwback Thursday Challenge. This weeks challenge is a  "Sports Challenge" using any SPORTS CARTRIDGE OR if you don't own a Sports cartridge, then use any cartridge & make it into make a "Sports" like project, card, OR layout!

I made a metal/magnet picture holder.
You can see the one I made last week, here.
It is made with a 5 x 7 metal roofing tin. They can be purchased at Home Depot in the roofing/sheet metal section.
I used My Creative Time's XL Label die, the Boarder stamp is from XL Label Boarders, and the sentiment is from the Sports Sentiments set.
The papers are from DCWV's All About Boy's paper stack. I got it at Michael's and it is the cutest stack!

I borrowed this fun idea from my super talented friend and My Creative Time dt sister, Liz, from Liz's Paper Loft. Our amazing dt sister Katie, from Crafting with Katie has made a few too.
