Heart Candy Treat

Happy Thursday!

Hey paper lovers! Today is day four of my guest week on the Obsessed with Scrapbooking  blog and I can't believe it's almost over! I have another fun Valentine's treat for you today.
This little treat envelope holds just the right amount of M&M's for a small gift. Overall the envelope measures 4 x 3 3/4" tall.
I sized the envelope on my mat, on my Gypsy, to 6"wide. I then sized the heart to 3 1/2", centered it on the front of the envelope, and joined them together. I then took two more hearts, sized one at 3 3/4"and one at 3 1/4", then I placed the smaller one inside the larger and joined them together. This creates the framed heart shape. After everything is cut out, ink the edge of the heart, wrap the twine around the edge of the heart, make the sentiment tag and glue it to the heart right under the bow, then apply the heart to the front of the envelope with foam tape. Lastly, I placed about 1/4cup of M&M's in the plastic bag, cut the height down to 4", and sealed it. I  put the envelope together (on three sides) with score tape, added the bag of M & M's, and closed the top.
Envelope: Cricut, Wild Card 2
Heart: Cricut, Wild Card 2
Paper: Core'dinations & We R Memory Keepers
Twine: Trendy Twine, Watermelon Taffy
Sentiment: My Creative Time, 100% Sweetness Stamp Set
M&M's: Target
Plastic Treat Bags: Michael's

**Giveaway**

So I thought it would be fun to have a giveaway each day too! Today's giveaway is a sampler  of Trendy Twine's Watermelon Taffy pack.

Heart Earrings

Happy Wednesday!

Hey paper lovers! Can you believe that we are half way there? Today is day three, of my guest week fabulous Obsessed with Scrapbooking blog! I have another fun Valentine's treat for you today.

Who doesn't love some fun and festive ear decor?
The heart's were cut from the Wild Card cartridge. I sized them on my Gypsy at 1 1/2" tall each. After cutting them out (blade 6, max pressure, cut 2x), I stamped them with red Satzon Ink, punched a hole at the top with my Crop-o-dile, and used my heat gun to shrink them down to size.
Fun right?

Here is a more in depth video tutorial showing how to make the earrings. Start the video at 4:00 minutes, to skip through the design software tutorial, to see how the earrings are made.
You can also color the hearts in with Copic markers or Parisma colored pencils.
Heart: Cricut, Wild Card 2
Shrinky Dinks: Michael's
Ear Wires: Michael's
Back Ground Stamp: My Creative Time, Coffee Backgrounds Stamp Set
Red Ink: Stazon Ink: Michael's
Paper: PaperTrey Ink, Kraft & Carta Bella, Devoted

Candy Flower Treats

Happy Monday!

I am so excited because Joy over at Obsessed with Scrapbooking has asked me to be the guest designer on her blog this week! I am so thankful for this amazing opportunity!

Since Valentine's Day is exactly a month away, I thought it would be fun to spend the week sharing some fun Valentine's treat ideas. Today's treat is cute, inexpensive, and a perfect craft that kids can help make.
How fun are these lollipop treats?
I used my Gypsy to open and size the flower, from the Artiste cart, to 2.25" tall and I hid the circle in the center of the flower. I opened a circle from George Basic Shapes and sized it to .30", placed it in the center of the flower, and then grouped them together. After grouped, I copied and pasted as many flowers as I needed to the mat, so that I could cut them out all at once.

Once all my flowers were cut out, I inked the edges, stamped them in the center with the sentiment, and slipped the lollipop through the center.  You could also cut a small leaf and add that as well. That would be a perfect place to add a classmates name.
Flower: Cricut, Artiste Cartridge
Circle: Cricut, George Basic Shapes
Dum-Dums Lolli's: Dollar Tree
Paper: K and Company
All Around Sentiment: My Creative Time, Classmate Valentines
Pink Tulle Ribbon: Michael's
 Pot: Michael's

**Giveaway**

So I thought it would be fun to have a giveaway each day too! Today's giveaway is the My Creative Time stamp set that I used on my project!

All you have to do is leave a comment here and on the Obsessed with Scrapbooking  blog, make sure to add your contact information!  I will pick the winner, via random.org, this Sunday, January 20th and all the winners will be announced on here on my blog, Monday morning, January 21st.

See you back here tomorrow!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Summer Fun Wednesday "Guest Designer"

Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe summer is coming to an end?!? That means that my summer guest designer series, is coming to a end too.  This week's guest designer is my super talented Peachy sister, Erin! Erin's fabulous blog is called Erin Lee Creative.

Helloooooooo Ruthians!
I just totally made that one up. I am so excited to be a guest designer for Miss Ruthie aka my Peachy Sister today! I'm Erin from Erin Lee Creative and I've got something super summery for you today. Ruthie asked me to design something with a summer theme and I got inspired jamming to the song Knee Deep by Zac Brown Band... "Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair".  Love it! Here is my summer easel card:
Recipe:
Stampin Up card stock
DCWV patterned papers
Life's a Beach + Pack Your Bags Cricut cartridges
The Twinery twine (and lots of it!)
Martha Stewart Edge Punch
Market Street Stamps Chillaxin stamp set - sentiment

My favorite is the itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini! ;) Here's a quick tutorial on how I made my twine pom pom.
Start with a plastic fork and some twine. (easy enough)
Wrap twine around fork about 30 times, depending on how "poofy" you want your pom pom.
Cut off twine. Cut another piece of twine about 4 inches long and weave through the middle of the fork with the ends at the back. Knot twice.
Cut off loops on both sides.
Smash down the center from the other way and poof until you get it to look like you want and voila!

Thanks Ruthie for letting me crash your blog, and I hope y'all enjoyed my summer easel card today. Feel free to stop by my blog anytime!

-Erin

What a great song and fun card Erin! Makes me want to take one last trip to the beach. Eh... who am I kidding, I live in paradise and can go to the beach whenever I want. (Yes, I know I am very blessed!) Anyhow, I want to thank Erin for being a guest designer! Don't forget to head on over to her blog and leave her some blog love!

See you back here tomorrow, it is the start of an all new Throwback Thursday Challenge!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Summer Fun "Guest Designer" Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

If you are looking for the My Creative Time sneak peak, click here!

Today is the eleventh week of my summer guest designer series. This week's guest designer is my super talented friend, Julie! Her blog is called Cricut Chick!

HELLO! I’m Julie…aka…Cricut Chick!
I'm so excited that today has finally arrived!

Ruthie asked me to be a guest designer on her blog September Ninth for
her Summer Fun “Guest Designer” Wednesday!

I must say, this is a really BIG deal for me.
I have been inspired by Ruthie’s
creations since the first day I started my blog:)

So...what makes you think about summer???

I remember summer when I was a kid and getting to go
to Cedar Point. I can’t believe I would ride those rides…
(You couldn’t pay me to ride them now) LOL!

The card I made for today takes me back to those
FUN DAYS OF SUMMER when the ride monitor would say..
"keep your hands in the car!"  Haha! Yeah right!
I would throw my hands in the air the second we pulled
out of the platform and scream like a maniac
on that crazy corkscrew roller coaster!

WEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Front
Side
Inside

FUN is right!

I used my newest favorite cartridge called
"Summer Celebrations"
and my stamp set from
K. Andrew Desings called

I hope you enjoyed looking at my
"Summer Fun" card.
Hopefully it brought back some good
memories for some of you too:)

Thank you for visiting:)

Thanks so much Julie! Your card is soooo much fun and definitely reminds me of summer!

Please head on over to Julie's blog and leave her some blog love!

Summer Fun "Guest Designer" Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

Today is the eleventh week of my summer guest designer series. This week's guest designer is my super talented friend, Jin! Her wonderful blog is called Under a Cherry Tree.

Hi Everyone, I'm Jin from Under A Cherry Tree and I am so thrilled that Ruthie has asked me to be today's guest designer for her blog. (Thanks, Ruthie!) As this is her Summer "Guest Designer" Series, I was asked to do a Summer-themed project. To me, Summer starts when my kids get out of school and it ends when they go back. My girls go back to school in 3 weeks and so even though the last day of Summer isn't until the 23rd (or 22nd?) of September, I am already feeling that the season is coming to an end.

Today's card reflects how I feel about Summer. I used images from the Lettering Delights' Soak Up the Sun SVG and their Vacation Cut It sets with Make-the-Cut program. I also used the LD Cursive and the LD Big Kahuna fonts for the sentiment. By the way, the sentiment and the black colored layers are vinyl. I love using vinyl for sentiments on cards because they are so easy to apply. All the cuts were made using my Silhouette SD cutter.

School starts at the end of this month and I will have 3 kids in elementary school. My youngest will be going to Kindergarten! Where did the time go? :-( I am scrambling to spend as much time with my babies as possible before school starts and so I will end today's post right here. Excuse me while I head outside and try to catch as much sunshine as I can before Summer is gone.

xoxoxoxoxo

Thanks soooo much Jin!

Don't forget to head to Jin's blog and leave her some blog love!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Summer Fun "Guest Designer" Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!
Today is the tenth week of my summer guest designer series. This week's guest designer is my talented friend, Saundra! Her blog is called Luv Scrapping Together.

Hello Crafty Friends! I am absolutely thrilled to be this week's Summer Fun "Guest Designer" at September Ninth. I have been following Ruthie's blog for quite some time and I am always inspired to create when I visit. She is a real sweetheart and is always sharing her creativity. Another thing that happens to me when I visit is I frequently purchase the cute SVG files that she is always using to create. She is such an enabler!! :)

My name is Saundra from Luv Scrapping Together. I am a wife and mother. My husband and I have 4 almost grown children. I have been crafting something or other since I was a child but paper crafting is the first thing that I have stuck with consistently.

When I think of summer I think of the sun and fun. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to put together a layout with a Luau type theme. Now, I haven't been to a Luau recently and have no pictures for this layout but it will be ready when I do. :) Besides, I just had to use these lanterns!
These lanterns are from an svg file called Luau. It can be purchased from SVGAttic. It has more than lanterns in the set and, just so you can see, here is the rest of the layout!
The frame, torch, and flowers all came from that same set. I also used Life is a Beach Cricut cartridge for my hula girl and title. The font on this cartridge does not have a shadow so I just off-set the letters to create a bit of a shadow.
Here is a closer view of the title:
And here is a close up of my little hula girl:

Isn't she sweet! I just love my Peachy Keen face stamps.

If you would like complete detail just come on over to my blog, Luv Scrapping Together. I love new visitors!

Thank you for having me as a guest designer, Ruthie! You are one of the sweetest bloggers out there. Thank you for the encouragement! ~Hugs!!

Ruthie here...
Thanks so much Saundra! Your layout is adorable! Please head on over to Saundra's blog and leave her some blog love!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, see you tomorrow!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Summer Fun "Guest Designer" Friday!

Happy Friday!

Can you believe that we are already at the end of July!?! Holy Cow! Where the heck did the summer go? Today is the ninth week of my summer guest designer series. This week's guest designer is super talented friend, Angelica, she is one of the junior "peaches" of Peachy Keen Stamps, owner and illustrator of Market Street Stamps, and after all that she has a crafty blog too! Whew!

Hello September Ninth fans! I am SO excited to be a guest designer on my pal Ruthie's blog today!! Ruthie is a sweetheart and did you know she made both of my daughter's birthday banners this year? Yep! Check them out here and here! They were a fantastic conversation piece - everyone loved them!

I'm Angelica {Handmade by Angelica}: mommy, wife, blogger, illustrator, and small business owner. To say my life is busy is an understatement, but taking time out of my day to create - even if just a doodle in my art journal - keeps me sane!

Today I'm sharing a summer-color-inspired card using one of my favorite mediums - Copic Markers!
I used "Lauderdale" by Basic Grey, some kraft and black cardstock, and of course, my favorite twine from The Twinery
Isn't he funny?! I used Under the Sea {Market St Stamps} and for the bubbled sentiment I used Shout it Out {Our Craft Lounge}.

Thanks so much for having me as a guest designer, Ruthie!! I loved creating this summer-inspired card for everyone today!

Ruthie here....

Thanks so much Angelica! Your card is darling! Aren't puffer fish the best!?!
Don't forget to go and visit Angelica's blog and leave her lots of blog love!

I hope you have a GREAT day!

Wednesday Summer Fun "Guest Designer"

 Happy Wednesday!

Today is the eight week of my summer guest designer series. This week's guest designer is my DT sister, Glora, her blog is Glora's Crafts.

Hello, this is Glora from Glora's Crafts, and I'm beyond thrilled to have been asked by Ruthie to be a guest designer today. I have been a fan of Ruthie's ever since she started as a Design Team member for Peachy Keen Stamps and now I'm lucky to be on the My Creative Time Design Team with her. She has a perfect eye for color and pattern combination's and makes the most beautiful banners I've ever seen! I love everything she makes but she is, in my opinion, the Banner Queen! I think I might be crazy to post a banner on the Banner Queen's blog, but she was the one who has inspired me to start making a few banners, so I felt it was only appropriate. This is a mini-banner that I made and is hanging on the door of our family room.

Here are a couple of close ups since the details get a little bit lost in the whole picture:
The Popsicles are from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge, the font is from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge, the cute face stamps are Princess Faces and Boy Mates from Peachy Keen Stamps, the twine is from The Twinery and the darling patterned paper is DCWV's Citrus Stack.

Thanks again Ruthie for this awesome opportunity, it was a lot of fun! Hugs- Glora

Ruthie here ~
Glora did a wonderful job on her banner don't you think? Don't forget to go to her blog and leave her some much deserved love!

Thanks so much Glora!

Don't forget that today is sneak peak #4, for My Creative Time's July new releases. You can see my post here. Tomorrow is release day and the blog hop!

I hope you have a wonderful day!
